I am curious about this too. Did I miss something? Are these possibly links to EQ1 characters? If so, why do I not have Deykann of The Nameless or Horendus of The Nameless?

Yes, they linked to your EQ1 toons, use the /claim it should be there, its painting for your house.

So if I claimed for one character but don't play that character anymore can I make my new one have the name?

If you registered EQ2 to the same Station account that you played EQ1 on, you should be able to use the /claim command to get a note place in your inventory. Examine the note, and it brings up a menu to choose your old server name.

I don't know if you can claim the title on more than one character, but I kind of doubt it. All the other /claimable items are one-shot deals. As soon as the servers are up, I'm gonna check it though.

Thanks. Please let me know if you can. I'd be much obliged.

You can only claim the title on one character :( I know for sure because I tried with a second; the option isn't in the claim list anymore. Drats!

I can verify that, having just tried it. You can only claim the heritage title on one character.

A question about claiming a title. I did register my EQ2 account under the same one I had for EQ1 and I did get a message prompting me too claim something...it turned out too be a statue, but no note too get a title. Could someone please comment on this and tell me if this would allow me too get a heritage title as well...Thank you.

not sure about the statue, did you examine the statue?

If that doesn't work- try /claim again.

Does anyone know of a way to filter the old server names off? I tried the /name 1 from eq1 and it didn't do a thing. I think it is wonderful that people can express themselves that way but I think it would be equally wonderful if I could choose to not see it. A couple days ago, I zoned in to see a group of 4 people who all had 13 letter names and the tag for The Seventh Hammer...I swear, all I could see was blue lettering!

Hmm last night I claimed my title but had to go eat so I logged off. I logged back in and the server name above my character was gone, does this happen often. I'm not at home so I cant try the Persona Surename option right now, but do you think that will fix it?

It would be nice if we could filter them out... that or I'm going to have to ask these Dark Elves why they worship Karana... and I won't be letting it go easily.
