My character/job choiceFollow

#1 Nov 10 2004 at 11:48 PM Rating: Decent
Ok atm I'm a halfling scout, working to become a rogue/swash or something.

I really want to start another halfing, and make him a fighter and turn him into a warrior/guardian. Is this going to have any real bad effects on me for making this choice? Will people not want to group with me because I lack certain advantages other classes get for fighters? Or are they not that serious and i could be a good tank with work.

Thanks :)

Well, i don't know about anyone else, but I do not see any reason why your choice of race/job type would make a difference. I would group with you. IF I HAD MY DAM GAME ALREADY GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

If you consider yourself a powerleveler, and want to group with similarly-minded people, then this may mean the people you would want to game with would not be as interested in you.

On the other hand, if you want to just relax, not worrying about maxing every stat, and take your time to enjoy the environment, then other players who would be good group/guildmates would not mind that race/class combo in the least.

The key is to finding the right people that match your playstyle. If you're fun to play with, then you won't have any problems finding people once they get to know you!

From what i have gathered, there really isnt that much of a difference between races anymore. All the special traits like Ogre that couldnt be stunned or Troll regeneration in EQ1 is gone out the window.

Also whichever class you chose they all start at 100 stats points.

Exemple human: STR:20 STA:20 AGI:20 WIS:20 INT:20
Now Ogre: STR:30 STA:25 AGI:20 WIS:12 INT:13 ( not sure exact numbers)

So you could say the Ogre would be a better tank cause he had 10str and 5 sta over the Human. But what will it be in 50 level ?
So Unless Races have a unique stats upgrade plan as they level, i see very little difference.

So anyone know if Races affects stats raise with level or is it just class that affects it
