I just hit 11th level Shaman tonight, and were the server not down, would be 12th by now. Loving every minute of it so far, and the changes since beta are nice.

So is anyone else on the Antonia Bayle server? I am loving the RP aspect. Thus far probably 50% of the people I have run into roleplay, and it adds a lot to the game.

For me RP'ing adds a great deal to the immersion and fun of playing. I didn't play beta, but am very happy with EQ2 so far. I'm at level 9 now, and so far everyone seems pretty intent on solo-ing to get to 10 and then 20. The brief conversations I've struck up so far have been enjoyable, and I feel pretty confident that I'll be able to find some good companions for grouping, and eventually guilding with, when I get past the easy-solo levels.

I've played a bunch of MMORPGs, but EQ always impressed me as having the best community of players overall. (Yeah, every game has its share of fools, but they seemed a smaller percentage in EQ than most of the other games) So far ::::knock on wood::: EQ2 seems to be living up to this too.

Say 'hello' to Arlissa on AB if you'd like. Right now she plans to become an Illusionist, but that's a ways in her future yet! :-)

Yes, I'm on the Antonia Bayle server. Graeme Cahverahne, Fighter.

I haven't had much of an opportunity to RP as of yet. I'm hoping to soon, but I'm only level 7. I need to print out a list of the emotes and learn them, stat. I feel like such a fool attempting to search for one, while my target has long since walked off.

Also, how do you do out of chracter speech?

edit> I also have Jaryth, a half elven scout (future ranger) still on the Isle of Refuge.

Look him up (if the servers ever come back online ;)

Not too many evil players so far. My RL best friend and I are playing a Dark Elf Shaman (as I mentioned before) and she is taking a Half-Elf Brawler. We have already met several good RPers, and are having a blast =)

I'm about to join Antonia Bayle and I was wondering what the ratio is there of Clerics/Shamans?

I like healers because they can usually find groups easily. Any suggestions which one would be better for that on A Bayle?

In my experience during both beta and release healers are the rarest of the classes. I see a lot of scouts and a lot of mages, but tanks are also less common.

The nice thing, though, is that having two healers or two tanks in a group is highly beneficial so groups are always easy to get. They did a great job of balancing the classes.

I had a group last night with 2 healers, one tank and three scouts and we kicked ***.

I had another that had 1 healer, 1 tank, two mages and two scouts and we did fine.

I am not on this server yet, but i wouldn't mind joining at all if there are that many rpers here. I really like the fact that sony makes a rp prefered server system. if anyone would like to hang out i would like to play as a Dark elf, Class could be just about anything though, haven't decided yet. but would like to get some feedback on this. Thanks!

I am rather surprised no one has posted this link...if you are an RP'er this site is a must see.

http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=17189&TabID=155198

The official site for the Role Payers Union is Antonia Bayle, so expect to see a lot of rp'es there.

Also I am the guild leader of http://p071.ezboard.com/bmightofstonewall which is an RP prefered GLBT and friends guild on Anotnia Bayle. We are not yet officially guilded in game but hope to accomplish that this weekend. Our guild is also a member of the Role Players Union you can look us up there in the Tome of Guilds.

Hope to see you all soon and best of luck to those of us who haven't received our pre-orders.

Thanks for the link. Seems like a great way to promote roleplaying on Antonia Bayle!
