Patch 2.3 brought three new things I find awesome to the table. New dungeons, including Hullbreaker and Syrcus Tower with Oils available, Frontlines (a total surprise that I'm finding a PvP event entertaining) and Hunts! I haven't even unlocked Ramuh EX yet.
Not to mention the renewed interest has my FC re-populated with people who need things like T5 and Titan. And I'm in a position to be a helping hand now!
All the sudden I can't even decide what fun thing to do when I log on.

I'm not too sure what i think of 2.3 yet.
On one hand i like the new dungeons (curse my fate of roulette giving me nothing but Tam-Tara). And i'm particularly fond of getting rooms, i already decked mine out completely, crafting 90% of the things myself with materials i gathered up myself. Love how it feels and looks (even though my FC is fairly... dead)
But my main issue with it are tomes. Soldiery got reset on Tuesday, by the end of Tuesday it was back to 450/450. I've barely logged in since, because there's very little i can to do anymore. Normally gathering soldiery was a week-long task for me. Cant get more tomes, dont need anything else, i could gather stuff for crafting/selling or do the endless shard/crystal mining spam, but i just have nothing left to do now. Capped on Myths too, so i refuse to do hunts/dungeons till i'm able to buy my new book, yet i dont want to finish this one since it has me tank the Pharos Sirius and i'm scared of people making me speedrun it somehow.

Just do it Kojiro. You're the tank, you set the pace. They want to go faster, good luck to them. They won't go anywhere without you, and if they leave? You'll refill members quicker than they'll get back into another dungeon.
Argh. I hate players that are terrified to step out of their little safety box. This is how I feel about those situations:

There is little you can do?
How can you guarantee you don't do Tam-Tara? Do that whatever it is.
Like rooms but yours is decked out? Get another character and another room.
FC fairly dead? Go and do stuff you like for fun or to help others. Make friends and recruit people.
Do what you want on your characters. You can do that without being a ****. It's not a crime to please yourself.
