Long three day weekend, and the last before patch 2.3! So when you are not busy anticipating dsynthesizing away all the green items clogging up your inventory while you sit and bask in the glow of your new private chambers waiting on your hunt party to form, what else will you be doing?

My goals:

1. Since I marathonned 500k to have monk hit 50, for no other purpose other that to equip hellish claws on a helmet glamoured with behemoth helm running around looking like a werewolf with horns, I should probably do the relic quest (at least up to the part where I have to spend myth)... My myth is sacred atm. Smiley: nod

2. Cap soldiery and buy either blm boots or caster jewelry, haven't decided. Smiley: dubious

3. Wrap up book 7 (10 enemies and a dungeon to go) and gather the remaining 750 myth and buy book 8 for paladin. Smiley: grin

4. Pvp if I have time. Try to get some more ilvl 70 bard pvp gear so people take my arrows seriously. Smiley: glare

Here are my weekend goals:

1. Get Archer to 28 (now 27). I have a mess of gear upgrades at 28, so getting the new stuff on will be nice. The stretch goal will be to get to 30 and unlock Bard.

2. Cap soldiery.

3. Give Titan EX a try. I've unlocked it and watched videos, but haven't queued up yet.

4. Try getting some more Turn 5 experience. I've given it a few tries, but I'd like to get more.

5. Do a mess of Challenges. I like the extra exp and gil they provide. I should also look at getting my chocobo some extra exp since he's been neglected.

Maybe see if I can get some FC friends to help a newbie learn HM primals, in the process getting my WHM relic? Smiley: grin
(Got to study the videos some more before that, though)

Actually, mostly what I seem to be doing at the moment is pushing GSM ever upwards.

And do some Main Scenario Roulette. I actually enjoy those immensely.

I'll be running monk through for relic at some point. If I am on I can run with you assuming I have made it through chimera and hydra by that time. But the HM primals are pretty automatic in duty finder now. Some high levels run daily trials and they can really make those things easy even with 3 or 4 newer members dying during the battle. That plus the fact that you can get up to a 50% echo buff makes them almost impossible to lose. Don't fear the HMs, if you can defeat Ultima in Praetorium you should do fine =)

Well, as of last week. I got made Raid Leader of the FC. So, my goals for this week was to organize things and get everyone on pages for some changes that I made, and I got to test them yesterday.

Things accomplished thus far:
Recruited a certain familiar individual as an alliance member...

Worked out details about Raid Changes.
Tested out the 'warm up' phase for Twintania/Coil runs.
Defeated Twintania twice more (we're getting close to calling her on farm.)

Remaining goals this weekend:
Solidify the 7 static members I have for tonight. (Still seeking an 8th member, we have a fill in but hard to find a SMN.)
Warm-Up/Assist in secondary class gearing in lower Coil.
Clear Twintania consistently for remainder of the night.

Defeat Titan Ex after so long of trying.

If we have a consistent performance, I'm going to call Echo version of Twintania on farm and start working towards passing and gearing our members who need it.

Personal goals this week, get Brd up to the ilvl that can do Twintania and then resume my efforts of actually getting books for my Gae Bolg Atma. With Twin starting to get killed more or less regularly, I'm not going to worry about upgrading the Relic Bow.

Oh. OK. I ended up solo healing Praetorium about 10 iLvls ago when the other healer d/c'd before we left the start, so I guess I should just not worry. :)

I adore Praetorium, especially Ultima - that moment when the music changes makes me grin like an idiot, and just for that alone is perhaps my favorite fight in all of FFXIV and FFXI.

Actually, my biggest fear by far is the memorization required -- I was never good at games like Frogger that required you to memorize levels, but always seemed to shine in those FFXI battles where the mobs had random access to their moves. Reacting to conditions, even when they bust out their big move 2-3 times in a row, is when I'm at my best. Despite - all at 75 - beating the Airship fight on a dry run, tanking Dynamis, and tanking all the assault boss fights, Titan HM absolutely terrifies me.

1. Made it to BRD 32! I think I'd like a low level roulette other than Toto Rak, though.

2. Done! Spent most of it on upgrading my MNK.

3. Also managed to do this. I think we wiped 5-7 times before we hit the 15 mark and abandoned the duty. I got some good experience, and I was only knocked off the cliff twice during that.

4. Found a duty finder learning party that was doing this. Went in as a PLD and even had a go at main tanking. Made it past conflags to divebombs at which point we wiped, but that's better than I've done before.

5. Did a number of them (got up to 12), but I'm still neglecting my chocobo.

1. Realized that my bard needs to turn in the oil that costs myth to get his relic to even begin to start the monk quest, this one ended where it began.
2. Ended up capping and buying some blm jewelery to bring him to ilvl 96
3. Wrapped up book 7, bought book 8, completed book 8, and bum rushed 1000 myth in 1 day to hit 1250. So 250 more myth to book 9, then I complete that to finally end the marathon that is animus.... Smiley: drunk
4. I pvped a little in anticipation for frontlines. Put together a sweet mrd build. I love locking down the healer. Smiley: schooled

FFXIV does cater to the twitch frieks. Hardest thing for me is being on PS4 without voice chat (no smartphone or tablet). With voice chat I am convinced the second coil would not be an issue.

Got first relic! First time in Titan HM, wow. Didn't get knocked off like a few others, but plumes and then at the end Tumult got me. Other WHM was a beast though.

This last week:

-Killed Leviathan
-Progressed further in turn 7 (including me switching jobs completely)
-Finished Animus and began Novus
-Helped people through Moogle

This week I just want to experience as much of the new content as possible and work on coil.

I did get one lone Ifrit HM run in. Too busy walking my legs off otherwise. (We clocked in six miles on Sunday at least.)
