I seem to be having issues with maintaining Borderless Window Mode at an acceptable FPS rate. I replaced my RAM and it still occurs. This issue (as far as I can tell) has only occured in Brayflox Longstep Hard Mode.

Any ideas?

My stuff:

I have the same GTX 560 as you, and looking at the specs i'm probably not that diffirent. Only thing is that i have 12 gigs of memory installed and play on a 64 bit now instead of a 32 bit (so i could make use of my memory instead be stuck to 4GB max).

That would hardly seem like it would matter much, since the game itself doesnt draw much for me.

I do have diffirent drivers as far as i can tell from your logs. Have you tried installing the (beta) 337.50 ones? They seem to be working pretty well for me, and with every driver update they boosted performances on things tremendously (i.e. The last one said it got something like 25% performance on Skyrim alone in the examples). If you're a bit behind on driver updates, you will notice a huge diffirence from upgrading that.

A few general tips to try:

Try monitoring your CPU and GPU usage during play, and note what they do when your framerate drops. You can also monitor your memory usage, but I doubt this is maxing out unless your using <=4GB of system memory.

I am using a 760 GTX, and find that the game is CPU limited. When FPS drops below 60, one of my CPU's logical cores is maxed at 100%, while the others are at 10-50%. One of the game's threads is bottlenecking the rendering. I find you can limit this occurrence by enabling the option that uses lower quality objects in distance. Despite this, there are very specific areas in the game that I find will drop the framerate below 60. I am using a i7-4770K at 4GHz, so I don't think this is avoidable on available CPUs without significant overclock.

Otherwise, I find the game runs better (for me) in full screen mode. I also use riva tuner server to limit the framerate to 60fps (along-side the in-game 60fps limit, which is actually vsync). For me this smoothed out the framerate as well.

I also use the 560ti, but I don't have frame rate issues. I run an Ivy bridge i5 processor and have 8 gigs of RAM.

My evga 560ti didn't have issues before I sold her off. Ran with a Sandy Bridge i7 and 8GB.

I did a little more investigating. Also check your settings of occlusion culling and LOD.

Occlusion culling will generally give you higher framerate, but you may get some dips when spinning the camera, and some glitches when the algorithm is a bit aggressive in what not to draw (for example, objects disappearing when mostly obscured by another object).

I find what I believe to be a threading bottleneck when LOD is disabled. Framerate can drop down from 60 to 50-55, while none of the CPU threads are bottle-necked, and the GPU is not bottle-necked. For me, with LOD disabled, I don't get the drops.

So if you monitor CPU logical core usage, GPU usage, and RAM usage and none of them are maxed when you notice performance degradation, its possibly a performance limitation in the game's engine, and there isn't much you can do.
