Rate of kills was much faster, rate of drop was also probably better if you used Treasure Hunter like you should be, you only needed one key to receive your reward instead of twelve, and the reward was usually something more than just cosmetic.
So yeah, it was way different.
Rate of mob spawns was much slower, rate of drop was also worse and actually required you to have another job leveled if you wished to increase it, you needed more than one key to obtain all your items, even after you obtained the key, there were certain areas that had conditions to getting the coffer (Temple of Ugg., Garlaige like you mentioned, and quite a few others IIRC), the armor was often replaced the minute you got it similar to AF in this game, competition for the actual coffer was serious business, competition for mobs that dropped keys could also be a problem opposed to FATEs that can be tagged by everyone, etc.
I would easily spend 4~5 hours sometimes farming a key.
So you're right: it was different. Thanks for putting that into perspective for me.
