I got three atmas almost in a row yesterday actually two were in a row and the third like 15 min later..

I was sick of trying for atma of the ram which I had been trying for for 4 days., headed to north shroud and got the atmas there after about 4 or 5 fates then headed to east shroud and got the atma after first fate.. So I said I am feeling lucky and went back for atma of the ram and it fell a few fates later. Again if that were true above I would never get 3 that close together.

But anyway it is about time I caught a break on the atmas.

Honestly.. My opinion is if a atma does not drop move to another area instead of grinding straight and then come back.. For me the ones I have spent the most time on and then leave to another area and then come back too the atma drops almost right away. This has happened 5 times... now..

How would this even work? Couldn't you just adjust the clock on whatever system you're playing on to fool it?

This immediately made me think of MGS3, where you could a boss to die of old age by changing the system clock forward.

Animal Crossing on 3DS worked that way too.

No way they would make something like this real time based, where you only had 2 hours a day to farm up a specific atma, same time every day. I got the one in west than last night between 11pm and midnight local time, between 4am and 5am server time. Not within an hour of 7:00 either direction for local or server, am or pm.

You must be new to SquareEnix MMO's...

Read this article on ZAM about how HNM's worked in FFXI... trust me this is not that bad.

LINK for your reading pleasure.

I wouldn't even put it past SE to have Atma drops restricted to a set amount per hour per server, not unlike how zones could be "dug out" in XI if digging with a chocobo and other people were doing it, too. In fact, if this is the case, the above times could actually be the "restock" period, subsequently making it easier for people to get the corresponding atma while the pool is filled.

Ive gotten 5 atma in less than 8 hours. 3 of those 5 atmas i got in a time span of 30 minutes, well outside the time frame as indicated.

random is random. This is supposed to be casual content that anyone can do, anytime. i highly doubt that in this case there is anything special going on. people are just trying to figure out the best way to get atma...the best way is to do fates and hope for the best, because thats all there is to it.

Man I love how SE leaves mechanics to our imagination. So frustrating but the discovery period is a lot of fun on forums :)

I've tried this out for a bit myself, never got anything during the supposed windows. I did get one atma in the process, but it was outside of the window. I'm calling it either ******** or a difference too insignificant to matter.
