Logging out for the night after capping out both Philo and Myth tomes and showing one of my friends CT for the first time. No game tomorrow... it's cool, I have a few errands to run after work anyway, and I got Tales of Symphonia to keep me busy afterwards. The only thing killing me is that I have duty on Thursday, so I have to wait until Friday to experience the update in full. :(
What do you have planned tomorrow? And what's the first thing you plan on doing once you log in after 2.2 hits? Me...I think I'm going to unlock Halatali HM. Purely because I love the music they used for it (never played 1.0, but I know that battle theme they used for Halatali HM is from 1.0, and I loved listening to it). That...and I want to kill a bear lol.

First thing I'm gonna do is check the new item list to see if there's a new healing ring i can buy with the new tomes. If so grind tomes if not grind garuda and turn 4 for ring then grind turn 5 for the clear so I can go get the crap kicked outta me in turn 6. :)
In beween doing that stuff do the new main story line stuffs and plant a garden.
Oh and it's definitely monkey pimpin time.
Wednesday means Work for me, 12-7:30. So most of the day, won't have to worry.
Prolly do a mix of Diablo 3, maybe... I dunno, some steam games or something.

These are all dependent on how well the update goes and no issue arise that they have to pull down the servers.

I have a test on datapaths tomorrow followed by a dose of semiconductor HW so I am thankful the servers are offline to keep me focused! :P

I work 10-7 Wednesdays so I'm not missing much time, but after getting home from work, eating etc I will likely stick a bluray on and play FFX-HD on my vita til bed time!
As for patch day....
I have had a chat with my FC, and for me, if the old dungeons give out respectable myth and 30-50 soldiery, I'm not unlocking any new content. That way, I can spend a week or two spamming easy dungeons to gear up faster. My main, Paladin, is i88 at the mo, but before I start working on the new content I also want to get Warrior (i83) Dragoon (i80) and White Mage (lvl 47) up to i90 so I'm more flexible with what I can do in groups. Of course, if soldiery only drop from the 3 new dungeons I will unlock them, as I also want to make small steps towards increasing PLD's ilvl too.
Ideal scenario would be Haukke HM or WP dropping soldiery, could gear up in no time ^^

Did a qucik read through full patch notes. Didnt see anything on ratio of phio to myth tome trade in.. Anyone see anything I might have missed?
For today, I will be out most of the day. I have work from 7:30am-4pm or 5pm, and my wife has school from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, so I won't be home much. I will be playing some Guild Wars 2 in preparation for their big April 2014 Feature Pack update when I do get home, though. Before then, while waiting for my wife to get out of class, I will play some Animal Crossing: New Leaf and some Final Fantasy X on my Vita. The point is, time will go by fast for me.
Also, my Final Fantasy XIV: ARR BluRay soundtrack (the new one for ARR, not the Before Meteor one, which I also have) might arrive today; I'll give it a listen if it does. If not today, then this week definitely, but one way or the other, I'm looking forward to it (and the minion that comes with it) and listening to it.
While I wouldn't be surprised if the update is done tonight sometime, I'm going to work on the assumption that they'll do it right and will make sure things are stable before they put things back online. Regardless, I DO work tomorrow from 7:30am-4pm. By the time I get home and have some supper, the initial mad rush should hopefully have calmed down somewhat. If it hasn't and I have trouble logging in or updating, I'll play more Guild Wars 2. If I get in, though, I will work hard to get my Bard from 48 to 50 finally.

I'll be upset. My PC died last week. Funny enough I next day shipped a PC the day before and it didn't work upon arrival. So now I'm stuck waiting for the PC to be shipped back and another one reshipped to me. No 2.2 for me for some time. Im guessing at least two weeks since they won't get the PC I returned until Friday or even Saturday and then who KNOWS how long it will take to get back. The only up side is I plan on upgrading my 32 in TV I play XIV on to a 50 in this week.
Going to take apart and reseat all the components of my PC because I've been having a weird shutdown issue. Not thermal, not software. Power failure then reboot with no warning. Guessing one of the tentacles of the power supply is giving the motherboard a bad touch.
Other than that, I might fire up The Sims III again. Been a while since I messed with that.

Wednesday I'll spend time with family and sail my boat on Assassin's Creed on the PS4 (gotta keep it warm for FFXIV in April)
Thursday morning I will log on to the Mog Station and get that 3rd retainer.
Thursday afternoon, I will likely be found doing these things, in this order:
Storing garbage seasonal stuff in armoire and getting a new haircut
Filling the third retainer with items on auction house
Equipping retainers, buying ventures with gc points, and sending them off on their first journies.
Unlocking Master crafting books for all my crafts, and unlocking glamours for all those crafts
Go start my zodiac relic quests with Gerolt. Blm first, Pal 2nd, Drg 3rd, War 4th, Sch 5th, Sum 6th
Seeing what it will take to unlock the items needed to craft the level 90 stuff. Then do that. Craft glamour stones and sell them for huge profit.
Convert philosophy tomes to myth. Buy stuff. Then run a daily high level duty roulette. Buy more stuff.
Unlock the new dungeons. Run them, get items and tomes, buy stuff. Try leviathan hm since the dropped weapons are turn 5 quality.
Future goals.
Build retainers to the point with ventures where I can equip them with all my stored unique untradable stuff to free up inventory space (hopefully).
Buy a house with FC. Need moneys. Level BTN and get seeds. Garden.
Try out challenges on WHM, MNK, and BRD. Get them all to level 41 and try the new beastman quests.
When I hit ilvl 95 or 100 I will go at leviathan ex and moogle ex. That should give enough time for Mr. Happy to bang his head against the wall and make me a video.
Run coil 1-5 when it is convenient or when FC wants to give it a go. Get items for alt classes. When ready take on Twintania.
Not even thinking about the second part of coil yet. Thats for way the hell later.
