I agree: just do what the OF does and consolidate it into those roles. Makes it less confusing to navigate and more vague so people can talk about whatever aspect of the game they want to.
XI's job forums were quite active but I believe that was only due to the result of a few things: an age where parsing wasn't readily available nor many tools to make our lives easy so there was a lot of speculation and 'theorycrafting' done on these forums as to what to do in what situation. Also, we had more spells, abilities, more gear options, etc to discuss which is a huge topic in itself. Gameplay in XIV is different: gear isn't emphasized nearly as much but strategy is definitely something much more important than, say, XI. A trade off.
I do kind of miss the atmosphere of the old job forums. Talking with people who are excited about every facet of the job they play. All I can talk to about a fellow BLM is what they think about SS vs CRIT gearing or some very generic questions. Most of it is straight forward.

And this is why a google search is better than asking a question here.
Then leave. You clearly do not like it here nor do you seem to find the information you seek: even if it is sitting right in front of your face. You're a little hurt on the bum about being called out for it so if you can't just accept your mistake and move on, go to the OF where you'll find people who appreciate your sense of obliviousness.
