What i am talking about is the strategy of having your off tank pull Chirada or Suparna. Now, i know what some people are going to say. "Of course you have to pull and kill Chirada first, thats the one we ALWAYS kill first". Well i'm going to explain why that is completely the WRONG way of doing it, and why it is beneficial to kill Suparna first (theres way more reasons to kill her first).

Now i know what some people will say "my FC always kills suparna first and theres never a problem" and that may be true. But there really is ZERO reason to kill suparna first unless you really want to make the fight as difficult as possible. Let's recap why:

Both of these quotes in the same thread, I'm confused Smiley: dubious. As blm, whichever one is pulled the farthest away from Garuda, I'm capping first. Also, that aoe LB3 is deadly if you don't have someone you trust pulling that spiny out of the way. I much prefer to allow the drg or monk lb3 garuda or save it for the healers

I was confused about that at first, too. I think it was a typo and should say "my FC always kills Chirada first and there's never a problem...But there really is ZERO reason to kill Chirada first unless..."

This is good info; I'm trying to convince my friend to adopt this strategy. Will test when I get around to doing Garuda EX.

yes that was a typo sorry about that. i wrote a lot of stuff and although i try to proof read, some things get missed.

And as for the standard practice for the sisters...it really depends. almost every PUG i join they do chirada first. ive been told many things like she heals garuda (which she doesn't. they see green line and assume its the same as HM), although the fight isn't impossible to do like that i see tanks having trouble with wicked wheel. My FC usually runs 4x ranged DPS and we like to use an LB3 on garuda/chirada during twister phase so it damages garuda and we have more time to DPS her down to maybe prevent an additional twister phase (with the plume safely out of the way of course).

I was also thinking of taking some time to write up a full guide for garuda...because if you have melee DPS the strategy will change slightly (to make it easier for melee)

the quick rundown on that now is this:

MT grabs Chirada and OT grabs Suparna. melee DPS kills chirada FIRST while the ranged DPS kills suparna FIRST (so split DPS). This way the melees will see the target indicator to be able to dodge, and won't get one shotted by a double wicked wheel. since you have a melee DPS, you then can have him LB3 garuda for even more damage. This is the best way my group has found if we are bringing a melee DPS with us. It makes things slightly more confusing, but you won't have to worry about your melee's eating dirt if they are watching for the indicator.

If all ranged (which unfortunatley is the easiest way to do this fight), my origional post is the most effective way.
