Am I misunderstanding, or are you saying you're wearing crafting gear to kill stuff?
Thats what they do yes, but lately there has been a sick trend of 10 to 12 of them sitting on top of posts in the mines in the Ceruleum Processing Plant, offing mobs with their relics before any of the people trying to level 42-50 can get any hits. It has been an absolute pain to level gladiator (paladin) because my flash does not give me enough credit to gain exp, I actually have to claim the target or do enough damage to register. I have to rely on my fate party to do it, and most often even eight of us are not fast enough to target and damage when relics are busting the mobs before they even appear on my screen (thanks PS3 )

I had no idea you could kill stuff in crafting gear and get bond. I was under the impression you had to craft something.
And vice versa, you can craft with battle gear on and level those as well, but the negative effect there is much more pronounced.
Dude... you seriously just made my day :D
Now I have noticed that killing weak stuff (30 or less?) with level 50 crafted gear will not raise the spiritbond on that gear at all. They have to be within range (no idea what that range is). For instance, I thought I would be all badass last night and take my boar skins from my leves and autocraft them to leather once I hit 50, then sell them for profit while I spiritbond my new leatherworker lvl 50 gear. The boar leather is a level 30 something craft. So I crafted two stacks of skins into leather, check my spirit bond, and while everything 49 and under gained spiritbond, the lvl 50 gear sat at 1%. Woot . So I assume you would need to kill high level stuff to spiritbond high level craft gear. Just FYI
