Behemoth: Does every server fight him like a bunch of idiotsFollow

Every time Behemoth spawns the people on Cactuar manage to fight him in the most idiotic way possible. He starts off in a great position in the middle of the area where people can clearly see his attack warnings and spread out to reduce instances of disappearing models but bit by bit morons run him up the slope and against the wall where his warnings get obscured and everyone has to bunch up forcing models to disappear and groups to die en masse to single attacks that would otherwise be avoidable.

Do other servers manage to keep their IQ's in the positive range during the fight and not turn it into a giant cluster*#&$?

Many people play on the PS3. Hard to tell what the heck is going on when all you see is a bunch of white snow and a few dudes swinging blindly into the atmosphere.

I play on PS3. I can tell in which direction Behemoth/Odin is because of all the smn pets (those load just fine, thanks), just have to look where they are or where they point. Another good way to tell where they are is when I drop dead for no apparent reason. That means I got too close.

Those FATEs suck for ps3 players. I have been to half a dozen of them combined and I saw behemoth pop once for a few seconds and that's it. And I have died every time with no way to do anything about it (except maybe teleport out).

I play on the PS3 also. I don't attend Behemoth events, I attend mass suicides. Least that's the only way I can rationalise dozens of people dying in succession with no visible enemy on my screen.

I play on PS3 and have the same problem seeing things, but a lot of my PC friends say they also struggle with Odin and Behemoth. My SCH friend says he usually has a hard time healing and raising party members because he's unable to target them. Devs are supposed to be working on a fix, though.

Tips for my fellow PS3 players, you can cast by command line. I haven't been able to test this extensively, but it appears to work when you cannot target people but know their names.

/ac Raise "Nuit Midril"

I assume that the following would also work

/ac Raise <p2>

Of course you have to be in range, and you have no way to know if you are. Another thing that seems to work based on some experimentation:

Target a party member, or some random PC that is fighting, say, an invisible Svara.

/ac "Insert Stabbity Skill Here" <tt>

That will at least give you bronze since you`ll have been able to land some hits. It's usually better to just spam heals on PC and NPCs that randomy appear though, if you can.

I tried to fight him twice after the long run to get there I ran in and saw a field of chocobos hitting something , then we all died. The second time after the long run I saw mages and chocobos....then we all died. My PC isn't strong enough to see him when the server shouts he's there so I just leave it alone. He must have some great drops.

I haven't done behemoth yet, but both times I've done Odin the other people (and one of those times was our own PT member) use their LB too soon and then we don't kill him at the end.

They drops are mainly aesthetic, as with Odin. Looks cool but not necessary.
