Events range from lvl 12 - 45. Completing the first chapter gets you a new hair style in 2.1. Still unclear if you get the lvl 13 weapons and armor for beating chapter 1 or 1-4.

Funny enough, some Gaelic and European traditions had engaged people living together for some time before actually getting married for that exact reason.

If you live together long enough, you either realize it isn't going to work or you start acting like an old married couple anyway. Smiley: laugh

Hubby and I co-habitated for 7 years before we caved in and actually got married. All the decisions around everything were fiscal ones. Rent x1 < Rent x2. Marriage = health insurance for both. Etc.

I agree Silver. My wife and I lived together a couple years before we were even engaged. However, I would never simply expect that of any other couple, which is why I was surprised at Duo's comment.

Soooo glad it's not a FATE.

Now the only question is which quest level drops the weapons and do they all drop together?

idk i guess i interpret people saying, in this context anyway, "I would never do it the way you are doing it" as "you are doing it wrong". maybe I should examine that, because technically you're just expressing your views and nothing wrong with that. Can be misread i guess. My bad,

I've tried. She has no interest in anything beyond the Super Nintendo era.

Which hey, that's fine. We sit down and play Super Mario World or Mario Kart for a few hours every week and have a blast doing it.

But seeing as we won't live together until after the wedding (her parents are very traditional in that regard), she gets kinda pissed if I'm on my computer while she's over. Which makes sense; we only really get 3-4 days out of the week to spend with each other on account of work and what not.

Looks like I'll need at least another 10 levels before I can participate in all the chapters. I've been enjoying taking my time leveling my caster and crafting classes and I'm not going to change that. If I hit 45 before the 9th, I'll check them all out. Otherwise I'll do the ones I can and just wait until the event swings back around again in February to finish it.

And this is why I hate most "events", or at least the limited-time ones, in mmos.

I am not going to powerlevel just to do a one-time event, so I am likely going to miss at least two of those 4 quest chapters.

I just do not understand why they cannot make events like this available for all levels to fully accomplish.

Should be "Chapter 1: beginning levels 1-10/11-20/21-30/etc.,etc." "Chapeter 2: Beginning levels 1-10/11-20/21-30/etc., etc."

OHHHH....so this will happen again? Okay, I feel better now. lol

I only want to do this for the costume and weapon looks, since any benefits over other armor/weapons will be short lived.

Also, this type of event would be a good time for an appearance tab to be added. ;)

Yes, the link mentioned that when FFXIII Lightning Returns is released in EU/NA, they will be doing the FFXIV event again at that time.

And I agree this game needs an appearance tab. I want to run around with my Cactuar Earrings, and hide subligars under good looking equipment.

I disagree with appearance tabs. I rather like the motivation of excelling beyond 'ugly gear' phases. It's a rite of passage everyone should continue to experience as a level of achievement.

Too much catering in today's MMO. Suck it up, subligarian. Smiley: laugh Take solace in the fact that food now lasts beyond fail (an argument for another day).

Not having an appearance tab makes event gear a pain though. I already two pages of special gear. I want to be in my swim trunks mining in the snow damn it!

A boyfriend wanted me to play the game as a couple’s thing. His friend and the friend’s girlfriend were going to be playing as well. I got addicted to killing the little rabbits outside of sandy. He would bring me tons of stuff that I did not have to go into the city.
