Hello, new to FFXIV ARR and was hoping you folks could answer a question... I've been playing for a few days now and haven't had much PC interaction. Is there a difference between a FC and a LS? Do LS even exist? The FC that I was randomly invited too is completely silent. I've tried numerous times to engage in conversation but they go complete ignored.
Long story short; I did not buy this game to play by myself... I want PC interaction; and I'm not talking about parties, just conversation, general chit chat, etc.
I'm on Siren, started in Gridania - If you play on siren and are party of a "casual" social LS or FC, please send me a /tell.

So FC is the "better" of the 2. Think of a FC as a Guild. There are bonuses to being in the guild, if the buffs are used.
Also gives you a group of people to ask from for quests/missions/etc. You should leave the random one, and seek out or watch shouts for a decent one.
LS is more of a chat channel. You can be in many different LSes (but only one FC). Before I Xfered, the FC I was in had an mature LS, basically you didn't get "yelled" at for typing cuss words or talking about R+ Rated content (because the FC had actual kids in it, so they tried to keep it PG-13 and bellow). Was also in a LS that had just a friend in it, gave us our own chat channel, didn't have to be in a party or keep whispering each other.
