How do I reset Spirit bond on items?Follow

I have some items that I'd like to sell on the market board, but it will not let me put them up for sale. I am only guessing, but I think it is because they are spirit bound to me. If that is the case, how can I reset this to 0 so I can sell these items?

Thanks ahead of time,
Dan

You can not reset it as far as I know. And you can not sell a soulbound gear (every gear that have already been used to fight monster / gathering / crafting will be soulbound even if the spirit bound not 100% yet).

Does it say if you put weapons/armor in the Inn armory it will reset spirtbinding. But no matter, if you already used the item it will be soulbound to you and you won't be able to sell it either way.

It does, but the only item/gear you can put on the inn armory is special gear that already soulbound anyway

Not all of the gear put into Armoury Chest are untradeable, like the Event item. The reasoning behind this is quite simple, as those are mainly 1.0 items and the events are not yet coming for 2.0 so SE has to make a leeway for non-1.0-ers have access to them on Legacy servers.

Ultimately the intent is to create a revolving economy. To do that, items have to be removed. In 14 items are removed from the economy by people using them. At this point once you are done with an item, you will need to convert it to materia to get any return on your investment. And since materia is also a consumable, it helps keep things going.

If the item is non-convertable, you can NPC it (with the exception of a few items we are not allowed to sell).

Basically leaving you with one of those two options.

I know on Hyperion at least, the only thing in higher demand than teir 4 materia is teir 1. This is due to the fact that almost all crafting have materia melding quests, and that if you are spirit bonding gear, you want to attach something cheap to speed up the process.
