As the title states, I'm having some difficulty updating after the "Hotfix". The update will get to around 500/752 on my PS3, then the mb/s will drop to zero, my connection crashes, and I get a notice stating "You have been disconnected from PSN due to an error". I also noticed that it will pause several times during the download for a few seconds.
I've restarted the machine and restarted my modem/router.
Is anyone else having problems? Could this be a congestion issue?

Im on a PC and I cant seem to log in . Just freezes at the login screen
Probably everyone hammering the download server at the same time. In FFXI, on patch days we often resigned ourselves to cancelling evening events because so many people trying to download the patch when they got home from work meant it took two hours for everyone.
Just keep trying. Or, wait an hour or two, and try then.

That's kinda where I was leaning. Glad to hear someone knowledgeable thinking the same lol.
I'll try again when I'm home from work around 3pm PST.

I experience this problem every time I do an update for FFXIV on my PS3, as well. I usually have to keep doing it over and over again and pray that it eventually downloads enough and saves my progress. It's extremely irritating. I'm going to wait until tomorrow and see if I have less issues trying it.

Wow that's awful. This is the first time I've ever had this issue. Stopped at 300 then 500 then 400 then 200. Trying again
So it updated this time
When it started freezing I hit cancel quit the game and tried again. Hope you get in soon!
