Thought I posted in this thread already but: I really hope Dragoon revamp is high on their to-do list.
Stuff like our stun jump honestly just seems useless to me because of how much danger it puts you in (same for the regular jump). Dragoon overall is very sluggish and more trouble than its worth from what I have seen... It's still my favorite class so please don't flame, but I feel that the least amount of work was put into it for 2.0 versus the other classes. Just my opinion.
just have to be careful about when you use jumps. I wish they'd make jumps non-self-rooting too but not holding my breath. Til that happens i am actually kind of enjoying having to use my gap closers (basically the main use for DfD and SD) more strategically than I do in other games.
edit: i also think that the devs wanted players to have to make meaningful choices about when to use Jumps, otherwise they would have coded them to work just like Ring of Thorns or Doomspike, ie you can move while you are in the middle of the ability. Although that raises another issue that i haven't tested yet: If you start a Ring of Throns while in AoE, but move out of it during the ability, do you still get hit? Will check it out tonight, I'm somewhat ashamed for having put this off for so long tbh.
