Not entirely sure if this is allowed or not, but since SE isnt doing anything themselves about this issue, we may as well do something about it. Not trying to start a witch-hunt or anything, but it would probably help a little if we got the names of these people out there.

For the Behemoth Server, i present the following.

Exibit A: Teleport Hacker mining from the mountains and from under the ground, warping between nodes.
Khaine Khardovic of «Scion»

Exibit B: Teleport Hacker mining from under the floor, as well as previous person.
Taru Mier

Exibit C: Two dumbass bots who i managed to get stuck trying to Mine my Minion for an hour before i gave up. No GM ever showed up for any of those four people.
Head bobbing the entire time targeting my minion, and untargeting my minion.
Lop Can and Majiij Yiyi of «SWORD»

Prolly not a good idea because some of these accounts are hacked so in reality its not doing to much. And I don't think calling them out or plastering there names here will solve anything .

Yeah, i suppose. I'm just so... frustrated with all this blatant cheating ._. I just have to do something, you know. SE isnt helping at all.

I'm sorry - I have a wonderful mental image now of two guys trying to mine away at Demon Brick here.

I think most forums frown on the practice of publishing the names of other players that you have a beef with regardless who is in the wrong.

I personally would post this on the offical forums lol just keep the threads simple;
Name of person you 'think' is botting - server - area - What you think you saw

EG

Taru Mier - Hyperion - Lower LaNos - teleporting/underworld/super speed while invisible

Hacked or not, these account had to have done something to lose their character (gil buyers, using illegal 3rd party aps etc)

Untrue, they could have simply used the same name and password on a legitimate site that was compromised.

However, it's probably because of what you suppose. But it doesn't have to be.

edit: also they could have responded to one of the phising e-mails that SE warned about.

While all possible, i still think that its 99% more likely that the person you see botting, is botting, and not hacked.

I find it far to convenient for all these 'possible' excuses when the most probably excuses is also the most common in about every other mmo. People gonna cheat, plain and simple. If they know no one is enforcing the law, why follow it.

its like speed limits on a free way. Most people dont go the speed posted, not even close. Those that do go the posted speed are honked at/swooped/have to deal with aggressive drivers. Add a cop though and magically everyone remembers the correct speed, and how to drive.

Same concept. Until they have gms actively banning botters, more and more people will do it under the mind set of 'well no one is getting caught, and i dont want to get behind!"

Open a trade window to get them out of their routine, and then they'll continuously tab around the area looking for a mining point in range. Just set your minion there and go craft a little for an hour or so as they continuously target it, hit their mine macro, and retarged it. They wont be going anywhere.

Somewhat related; For those of you blacklisting spammers, regularly check your list and remove any entries that say "(Deleted)"(without quotes).

Could be SE banned them, or the RMTs deleted the char. Either way, frees up space(200 isn't gonna be enough).

Good to know that it tells us which ones are gone. I had to blist four in less than five minutes this morning, so yeah, 200 isn't close to enough.

9 out of 10 of these people are not hacked. Cheaters like to bot. It's not breaking news. Pressure from peers might be enough incentive to stop them botting. For those few who were hacked, attention needs to be brought. The owners need to see it and report to SE, and then it is up to SE to investigate.

The other option is to let botters go crazy and destroy the marketboard.

I found a snarky one this morning that couldn't be blacklisted because it was a position hacking gilseller bot.
I did report it but don't expect it to be gone anytime soon.
The really sad thing thing was one gilselling bot had been a real player, FC and all still listed - will these people never learnSmiley: frown
