Increasing issues with lag (NA/EU servers)Follow

#27 Sep 24 2013 at 1:20 PM Rating: Excellent
There were a few days last week, before the last maintenance, that I got horrible lag while gathering and crafting. Whenever I chose an action it would sit for 4-5 seconds before the animation started, then the results (orb changing color, durability going down) would display before the animation for the action completed. After the maintenance it's been fine, though last night I started to lag while crafting. Not nearly as bad as last week, but noticeable.

the game freezing in a 4 man instance for upwards of 30 seconds is not a client side issue.

Well there are plenty of people like me who dont have this issue, so it cant be just server side otherwise everyone would experience this

Just wondering if anyone else is having these issues? It's not severe, but my log and the animations on Primal fights is updating slowly and I'm dying and looking like a fool. I know full well how the Ifrit fight goes as well as the other dungeons where I'm having issues, but every now and then I get nailed by something that I avoid the second I get a log or visual notification and then I'm dead.

The biggest problem for me is when I raise it moves you to the casters position so I wait until a move happens before clicking ok, but when I do raise it's not always where the healer is and usually even if it's in the clear I die again anyway.

I've been doing a modem reset every time this happens and I'll get a round or two of trouble free DF instance and then it's back to the way it was. I have a pretty good 30mbps connection and my ping isn't terrible to the data center whenever I check it.

Any tips or people stating they have the same issues would be appreciated.

One of my LS mates has an absolutely smoking PC with Dual SLI 670 blah, blah, blah.

He lowers all his graphics settings to mid-low for Hardmode Runs. If he says it helps, then I'm thinking it helps.

I had some serious lag issues today trying to run cutter's cove. Kept getting dced and freezing when I tried to use the quicksand. If it is a server side issue, hope se takes care of it soon.
