Legacy status/Pre-reg code/CE and SE items Answers.Follow

Ok, i made this thread to hopefully helps those seeking answers to some problems i my self have been having.


The first question I've seen alot is whether or not players are "Legacy". To start off, the tattoo on your characters back does NOT mean your are legacy, it simply means THAT character is from 1.0. Any character made in ARR will not have this tattoo.
If you wish to know if you are legacy or not, simply go to https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/login?cont=account and sign in. At the bottom of the screen on the left select "SELECT SERVICE" then select "FINAL FANTASY XIV" If it does not look like this then you are NOT legacy:

Now, another problem i've seen is when registering your code alot of people are getting "ERROR 3: PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER". Try this; go back into the page and sign in, before you enter the code look at the top part of the screen and you should see your account name:

go into user settings, which will take you to another screen. In your settings, change your language to what is should be, for mine the language said ENGLISH, but i changed it to the option ENGLISH (US), then save. go back to the pre-reg screen and enter the code. This has worked for myself and quiet a few other people.

Last thing i have seen alot of is that people are saying if your a 1.0 CE owner and preorder the SE to get early access, that you will not get both the CE and SE items. this is entirely false.

I am a CE holder and just registered for the SE to get early access and as you can see, i still get my CE items.

RyanSquires, do you expect to see all that extra stuff you got day one of the early access?

I am in a similar situation and really want my swag xD

You're only able to view it after you put in your pre-order code. There is no way to go into account management and see it.

This is 100% correct.

Yes, when i was in the open beta i receive message thanking me for my CE 1.0 and returning to ffxiv, i also recieved my onion helm which was a 1.0 CE item.

So, when you played in the open beta, you did not receive a message at the moogle thanking you and issuing your Onion Helm??

If you pre-ordered the CE, then you still have a regular edition until you apply the final CE code from the Box or the finalized online order. The only people that currently have the early release CE items are people who have 1.0 CEs or those who ordered PS3/PC physical editions and were/are fortunate enough for the mail man to deliver the goods early.

Pulazka, do you have the 1.0 CE or the ARR CE?

I am a 1.0 CE owner.
I did receive an Onion Helm in game during BETA
But when I now startup the Launcher and login I get the message


As I understand it, as an owner of 1.0 CE I entitled to the new CE ingame items as well as free 1 month sub but that message is scaring me.
Even if I can't gain access until August 27th shouldn't I still have a valid and active account at least until the free play period is up?
It's nice that all those that pre-ordered can confirm their status, would be nice if those of us who bought the original game could confirm our status as well.
Would feel much more secure if they just provided us with a message like the pre-orders got, something along the line of Please wait until the official launch to register and access the game.

You do get all the IN GAME CE's as a 1.0 CE holder, but you do not get early access.

As a 1.0 CE holder I also got no msg with onion helm. But this was due to me already having it in my inventory. Only message I got was for legacy chocobo. Maybe similar? I cant say, just throwing it out there.
