I've been hearing that the Early Access Registration has begun but neither my girlfriend nor myself have received emails regarding this like the preorder site said we would. We have our codes from Amazon and we both signed up on the Early Access page a few weeks ago.

Where are people going to enter their Early Access Codes and Are people actually getting through the server congestion to enter them (link appreciated)? What's the latest we can enter them and still be able to get into Early Access? Thanks in advance.

Edit: Noticed that I put EE instead of EA in the title.. Just woke up XD.

Downvoted again for no reason. Why don't you send me a PM if you have an issue with me? face /me!

I pre ordered from Amazon and got my code minutes later yesterday. My code however is a 6336 format (XXXXXX-###-XXXXXX-###) The page linked for pre order registration is a 44444 format. As I understand it the codes that went out from Gamestop are also 6336 codes. I did call Amazon who basically knew nothing and gave me the Square Enix number. I called but after 20 minutes on hold bailed.

This is a link I found on a forum

https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/ffxivearlypre?rgn=na&lng=en

There is another link floating around and that is

http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/

I am not sure they could make it any more confusing.

Are people receiving the email playing on PS3 or PC?

Im not sure anyone got an actual email followup that said hey now is the time to redeem your code. Someone just noticed that the site that you originally put your email on for a followup now lets you put in the code. It's not working well and most people are getting errors but we are spamming the hell out of it anyway.

I go to the preorder link and it asks me to enter my birthday and nickname and crap. I'm pretty positive I entered that stuff when i made my account. I tried to enter the stuff and before i could it said that the site was undergoing an update.

And White Knights think that the servers will be stable for launch.

That first link looks like the Early access code you get after you put in the preorder code which is the 6363 you put in the second link(not working right now). I also ordered from Amazon and got that code back in June.

Well the site is working and it's acting like my code is correct but i keep getting the extremely vague Error 3 message. is that just from congestion?

I registered with my pre-order code and I kept getting that error screen during the registration process. Several hours later I get a congratulations email from SE with the code that I needed to enter to my SE account. Now SE is saying that they sent out EU codes to NA customers. When I tried to enter the code from SE, it's stating that the code is for the wrong region.

Still getting "Error 3: There was a problem. Please try again later"
Hopefully it will work by Friday XD

Ok on the SE forums (not the lodestone) it says:
"We sincerely apologize, but the pre-order redemption site is experiencing very high traffic which we are currently working to resolve. We are adding additional bandwidth and server capacity to ensure that all customers will be able to redeem their pre-order codes as soon as possible. Early Access starts on August 24th at 2am PDT, and Square Enix is working hard to ensure that all FFXIV pre-order customers will be able to download and play the game.

We're aware that some NA users are receiving EU-region codes and are working to address that as well. We'll be sure to keep you updated and make sure to stay tuned to our official Twitter account for the latest updates.

Twitter says: "We have temporarily suspended the ability to redeem codes on the pre-order site while we continue to investigate the ongoing issues."

Let's hope that they get this resolved soon because I don't want to miss out on a second that I could be playing.

i actually thinkt he servers will be stable, but not because square is good, but because many players wont be able to get inside Early access if this keeps up =/

The only issue I see with this is that there are (just a guess) more people who have not been able to register than have been able. Which means traffic will be just as high. IMHO, Friday is really pushing things to the latest possible minute to get this up and running. Registration codes really should have went out in phases to traffic light the crush of people spamming the codes. I do think they will get their proverbial act together before EA starts, but this last minute stuff is really kinda stressful.

And hey.. at least we are not dealing with Play Online right? RIGHT?!? Smiley: smile

The servers will be stable because they'll be able to expand the capacity now that the servers are turned off. That's the only reason they couldn't fix the 3102 error during the open beta. Should SE have predicted the stress test abuse, of course, but that's not relevant now that they know they need to upgrade.
