Phase 4: How was you exp? What level did you reach?Follow

My experience was a net positive. I really enjoyed playing the Beta. I didn't realize going into P4 that only combat classes were going to be available (Yet I still read the big giant yellow post in the Beta forums and still didn't catch that somehow...) so I was let down when I couldn't craft at all. To my understanding it's going to be very similar to gathering and crafting in 1.0 so I imagine I'll be right at home. All the classes felt good, albeit I was personally disappointed when I saw 239572395782957 carbuncles on screen at one time. This isn't a FFXI feel-good reply or anything, but having to work extremely hard to get Carby in XI did make having it feel like an accomplishment. Again, not a complaint and not a detractor at all.

I can fortunately say that I never once experienced an error of any kind. My only issue with play time was work, of whom didn't feel that taking leave for a Beta test of Final Fantasy software merited time off.

In my experience I found crafters levelled much too fast with the huge bonuses for first recipe craft and increasing quality, and found gatherers to level much too slowly. Getting miner to 20 was pretty painful with same level modes yielding 150-200 on a first hit. Repeating hits was also really slow, which probably made the experience worse.

Great experience, I love this game and look forward to playing it for the foreseeable future. I took my PS3 over to my buddy's place and we did 2 player most of the weekend.

Lv19 Lancer (100 more exp to level 20 but didn't want to waste any)
Lv15 Pugilist
Lv15 Goldsmith
Lv4 Miner

I also created characters on 3 other worlds, one JP (Gungnir), one EU (Odin), and an RP server (Gilgamesh) to see what else is out there, but didn't do much leveling on them. I spent a fair amount of time playing with emotes and macros. If you add "motion" after an emote it will do it without the text. Then you can add a "/wait #" to specify how long until the next emote so there is actually a lot of customizeability with making your character come to life in different ways.
