I'm having withdrawls but not quite as badly as in Phase 3. There is some comfort knowing that in a week from now we will be live and able to play 24/7 so right now I am just enjoying the Christmas morningesque anticipation.

Tried playing some blops2 but didn't feed the hunger for some ffxiv :(.... plus that game is annoying and raises my blood pressure.

The six hour extension helped me get an alt to lv.10 and into the inn before the clock ran out, and then I played around with the character creator 'til the time came.

Since then, I've pretty much done nothing but tell a co-worker about FFXIV:ARR (he'd been in the 1.0 beta), and trying to plan how to get everything set up for August 24th. I'm also putting my PC together today or tomorrow, and the first thing that'll probably go on it is the FFXIV:ARR benchmark. lol

I wouldn't say that I'm overly addicted to playing the game, but I did miss it between Phases 3 and 4, and miss being able to play it now, simply for a lack of much else to do online on the PS3. I'm more longing to see what comes later, as it's a part of the game I have yet to experience. I'm also longing to stop dying during most of the Conjurer solo quests. Smiley: glare

I did find out that three other people on my PSN play it though, so there's the making of a small group goin' on there. Would be nice, to start out with a static group to help get through things...

Well i watched mr happy live stream on twitch and talked about xiv. I read xiv forums and going to watch xiv nation today after I sleep. Then since the only thing I can do is watch short youtube videos we're all going to the ghettos and do some serious drugs, beat some hookers cuz by that point they will be hunting log mobs to us. Whos with me! :D

FFXIV Support Group: Early Access Code OCD Edition

While we might all be jonesing for the game, and jonesing badly, we shouldn't rush to register our early access codes all at once.

Remember, it's not going to fill the soul crushing void in your lives that we hope ffxiv will fill. You might think it will take your mind off of things, but really, it will not.

The site is jammed, it's clogged up. Super saturated. And that's just going to lead to more frustration and more jonesing.

Contact your sponsor if you are tempted. Remember, we are here to relearn healthy behaviors: the rush you are trying to get from registering game isn't a healthy alternative to your FFXIV game play addiction.

Use this as an opportunity to bolster your willpower. Take a step forward, not a step back.

I'm not going pretend like I didn't rush to register when I first read about it. I am admitting my mistake, my problem.

After all, step 1 is "Admit you have a problem".

Hi, my name is Bartel, and I have a FFXIV problem.

I'm back to posting way too much on this forum, trying to keep myself occupied with work and what not, and drinking large quantities of booze at home.

Oh, also I'm getting my next tattoo this afternoon, so that is actually very exciting for me!

Is it a ffxiv related tattoo ? If so, please contact your sponsor immediately. If it is not, please share with us what it will be of (if you don't mind).

It's a Gunslinger tattoo from the Stephen King series. Once it's done, I plan on posting pics. I'm very excited, it's been in the making for almost 3 years now.

I find myself at home every night using oil based white markers to paint FF enemy character outlines on a black board, then putting those black boards into a 8X11 picture frame and using marker to color the glass that overlays the board. Makes for a cool effect. So far I have made a river crab (on a beach for some reason), a cactaur, an ahriman, and tonight I am thinking about making one of those fire bomb guys.
