I don't need compensation or anything like that, although an apology would be nice. This is still a Beta, despite some people wanting to call it a soft launch or whatever. Its unpaid time, so while disappointed, I'm not that peeved.
However, once early access starts, that is something we have paid for. You cannot go live with this issue still persisting. I've been locked out since midnight eastern time yesterday, I have people in my guild locked out since Friday night. You cannot have subscribers locked out of the game for hours when its not a servers are down issue. And it doesn't look like a simple reset fixes this either. And even if it did, are you gonna keep resetting the servers every time someone d/c's?
This is not a race, so I am not looking for a wipe. I don't care if people fortunate enough to not be affected get ahead. But, this is critical enough where you can't launch in 8 days without this being fixed. I don't know if 8 days is long enough to identify the problem and fix it, but I hope it is.
Also, it is SE, so you can't be surprised, but they really need better communication with their non JP customers. Official forums are down, Lodestone has nothing and the last twitter update is, "New worlds being added" 6 hours ago. People who are now waking up to this issue have no official avenue to at least have it acknowledged as being worked on?
