Error 90000??Follow

Im at the part in the main storyline where you talk to Captain Baldwyn near Horizon and its some sort of instanced battle thing, but as soon as i talk to him and the screen goes black to head to the cutscene or whatever comes next, I get DCd with the 90000 error. I've done it 4x in a row now so I'm guessing that instanced servers are down? I tried exiting out of my client completely and coming back in but that didnt fix anything.

I dont think its instances that are down at least not all of them because plenty of people on Ultros are saying they've been doing instances... but yet I still cant do this quest, ive tried 8x now and all 8x I get DCd as soon as it starts loading. It sucks because its the main questline and I need it in order to get access to airships ><

This has been an ongoing problem for a lot of us. The main thread for it on the forums is almost over 1,000 posts. For me, the problem started happening around 5pm yesterday. After 26 hours, and countess forum posts, SE finally acknowledged that there is a problem, or at least said "hey we are trying to fix it."

I have been in "stuck in duty" all this time, with no access to social features such as the LS, friends list, or the player search. I can progress no further because any instance entered boots you out. Got my fishing to lvl 15 though! =)

I completely agree. If this were a week long beta or something, I would understand.

Could be they're still trying to figure out what's causing it themselves.

SE has acknowledged the issue. Being aware of it, I'm sure they're working to fix it.

I was made aware of a supposed glitch that prevents you from entering instances, and there's no way to get rid of it. Sounds alarmist to me, but I'm guessing this is what it's based on. However, in the name of due dilligence, I'll ask if there's any truth to it, and if so, is this the kind of critical error which could prevent character data from rolling over?

Also just got hit with it after I beat the golem for the Ul'Dah storyline. Connection with server lost.

I hope I still get credit for that kill.

I had just stepped into the "Exit" portal from Sastasha.

I have this error and I logged out in the inn :( nope sorry not this error code.

I got a little lucky in that I had just gotten the airship when this hit me yesterday. Just got done failing the guildhest "turtles on the half shell" (or whatever) because my party wouldn't stop attacking the turtle and they murdered him...

So I was already angry, then this crapola hit. It was pretty frustrating explaining in general chat that this was a game breaking bug, and having people basically telling me to **** off. Pretty sure everyone is at least aware of it now. Not to mention the problems they are having with 3102. I'm fairly confident they will have this problem dealt with sooner or later...

So far there still isn't a fix for this. I've been locked out of FC chat, /tell, and instances since yesterday evening.

So I seem to have caused my whole client and character data to explode, judging from what I am dealing with now.

Bit of a preamble: I started suffering from Error 90000 late last night as a result of issues with "Violators Will be Shot" (the Level 15 instanced Archer quest). Since then I've had the whole issue of no Free Company, no /tell messaging, no Linkshell, no Social List, and all those lovely quirks and issues related to being stuck in an instanced permanently. I made the best of things and just took to exploring, but didn't do anything really character altering.

Fast forward to mid-afternoon today. Decide to just roll with it and get a level on Gladiator (15 to 16). The total rundown of stuff I did amounts to one FATE and two levequests around The Hawthorne Hut in East Black Shroud. After getting the level I decided to log for a bit.

Few hours later, log in, get to the lobby, aaaand ... crash.
Okay. Let's try that again. Log in, hit "Start" at the intro screen, aaaand ... crash.

Now I'm just plain worried about corrupted character data here and not sure what to think, since it seems to only melt down and cause my client to close when I get to the lobby and it tries to load my most recent character's information.
