Clear and concise advice. Great vid. That's pretty much what I had in mind. I also plan on saving my leve allowances for Disciple of the Hand levequests. Unless they've adjusted the EXP gain to be faster even with chaining HQ's, I anticipate getting to 50 on Botany alone may induce much boredom without those leves...

Couldn't agree more... MrHappy has really done a good job with his videos. I like him in the game breaker podcasts too. :)

I like his videos. My favorite is his video about the "Legacy Status Controversy". Hilarious because it's like 3 minutes long and he basically says "It's not a big deal to me, don't know why it's a big deal to others, only made the video because people keep !@#$%^ asking me about it."

I like his videos too. May not be super informative or earth shattering news, but he puts up new videos regularly and seems to genuinely care for the game, so its something to look forward to every day while we wait for release. Helps to hear people simply talk about the game in a non trollish way. I'm looking at you FFXIV Realm podcast!

I cannot agree with that video though, he seems to be a great gamer, but he treats this Phase 4 as a rush and get everything to 20 as fast as you can! type of event. I however, will be slowly enjoying my leveling process. I may not hit level 50 until people have a couple 50s already. I will be exploring every corner of every zone and take in the amazing scenery. Then, when I see people saying how bored they are because they rushed to 50 like it is some type of race I will still be enjoying my experience. I cannot say don't do what he suggests, but my suggestion is to do it for enjoyment and not to have everything capped at 20 and ready to cap everything to 50 once Early Access comes around. Take his advice, but don't rush yourself.

I have to agree with this too. I really do like his videos and the latest has only made me more anxious to get back in. However, I have no thoughts of rushing thought. I like to level my gathering, crafting and PVE at the same time. I'll be one of the first folks in the game, but will be one of the last to get max level if I ever do 8-)

Good info for new players. Phase 4 to me is get retainers and play Arcanist. I'm going to wait launch to pay a stranger to help balance my money out across my characters. One million gil might still buy some people time on legacy servers.

I think its because a lot of people will want to do as much as they can within the few days they have available. Once the game's released i will def take my time but when i only get a couple days to try something out then i wanna do as much as possible.

Great video, lots of good advice. I have to agree with those above who mentioned spending leves on DoH jobs as opposed to GC leves though. I remember reading in feedback that they will be adjusting the spawn rate of the rare mobs for the GC hunting log, so I have to think that won't be nearly as much of an issue as it was, but I do know that gathering classes take a loooong time to level up, and the leves make that process way faster.

Other than that, I agree with pretty much everything he said. I doubt I'll be as efficient as he makes it seem, with having many classes at 20 by the end of open beta, but I'll definitely be getting my chocobo unlocked at least and then focusing on crafting and gathering my butt off. God, I'm so excited for this game it's ridiculous!

Watched this earlier today. I like the info, but not having any experience in ARR, I don't think I'll be rushing through the OB or EA. I plan to take my time, get my bearings, and learn as much as I can about the game before I start rushing through it.

I would say your first time to 50 take your time, the next iterations though you will know more and then can burn through it quicker. Taking your time will extend your play experience and length of the game. Due to level sync we don't have to worry about everyone being level 50 and having no one to group with.

Good vid but totally agree about not rushing; Even as someone who's played MMOs for a good few years now I still like to take things steady at first and really enjoy the journey.
