Hey everyone!
So I have a question here. I owned a copy of the FFXIV 1.0 standard edition last time and would really love to get the FFXIV: ARR collector edition in-game items. Do I have to pre-order the digital version (the one priced at $49.99) to get them on my existing 1.0 standard account? :S

You'll need to get the digital upgrade, not the pre-order one as I imagine that's the whole game.

I also have a 1.0 character and wanted the CE items.
I ordered the PS3 version CE, which will include the code for the CE in-game items that I can attach to my SE account. That way I have both versions of the game, PC and PS3 and the CE items.
I know many people have gone this route. It's worth considering if you have a PS3.

Thanks guys. Which means I can only purchase the digital upgrade only when FFXIV is reopen on 27th Aug? This whole thing is so confusing lol.
yea no reason to buy the game again just wait till release day and buy the digital upgrade
