Regarding inventoryFollow

To my knowledge, there is no way to sort your inventory aside from doing it yourself. It can be a pain if you let it build up, so it's probably best to sort it as you fill it up. I use one tab for crafting ingredients, one for consumables, one for sellables, etc.

You gain access to item storage after you complete the level 15 story quests, the three "tutorial dungeons." When you finish, you can hire a retainer, which allows you to sell and store items. As far as the armoire, I can't speak to that, as I haven't tried using it yet.

Yes, I completely agree. I did the same thing as you and crafted for hours. I had to NPC a bunch of stuff.

I love the Armoury system and how shards have their own slot, but the inventory system is a little messy. It would be nice if we could assign categories to each inventory tab, like consumables for tab 1, or something, just to help with organization.

This was going to be my next gripe! =P

Ironically, the inventory did kind of auto-sort in phase 2 before the armory chest was introduced. Crafting ingredients would be automatically shipped to page 4, gear would be in page 1 and 2, and consumables in page 3. Once they added the armory chest though, it all got shoved into page 1.

I wouldn't be surprised if some kind of auto-sort were added back later.

So I finally have access to retainers, but the problem is that I have no idea how to get one. I talked to the leader of the group in Vesper Bay and she said something like there are others that know about retainers than her but she didn't say where those people are! Could anyone point me in the right direction, please?

Hit ESC.

Select "Active Help."

Click on the "Adventuring Basics" button to see a drop down menu of options.

Select "Items."

Select "Retainer" and look at the image briefly. You're going to be looking for NPCs near those.

Read through both pages.

Look for the NPCs that were listed in the market area of the appropriate town (where there's a ton of vendors all in one area).

Yea inventory needs to be redone the ability to sort items would be very helpful. I know I can drag one stack at a time but that takes forever with 4 pages of inv. When P4 starts I think I am going to from the start sort my items. I was trying to do it on Sat but gave up b.c it is only beta.

I noticed you can also 'split' items into two slots.
