Just now, I started up the launcher and then attached a keyboard to my PS3 with the intent to see if the PrintScreen key would take a screen shot... Well, I got a little excited seeing that the keyboard worked without any hesitation and I exited the launcher before I remembered to hit the PrintScreen key. So, with the keyboard still attached I started the Launcher again and my TV lost signal to the PS3... or so I thought. After much playing around with cables and doing the video settings reset via the power button, I decided to turn off the TV and take my PS3 back to BestBuy where I had bought it just a week and a half ago, thinking I had bricked my PS3. Then I noticed that the remote wasn't responding to the TV so I walk over to it, thinking the batteries are low on the remote and intending to use the button on the TV to turn it off. That didn't work either. I had to unplug the TV for a few seconds and plug it back in to make it work again. I don't know if it was a combo of the keyboard and the PS3 that tried to kill my TV or if it was the launcher that did it but everything is working normally again including the launcher. BTW, the TV is a 46" Vizio so if this happens to any of my fellow PS3 Players when you launch FFXIV, don't panic, just unplug the TV, count to 15, then plug it back up. I hope no one else has this happen but, just in case, I wanted to post about it.

This crap happens to me quite often on my Vizio. I just have to switch form HDMI 1 to HDM 2, then back to HDM1 and I'm good to go. I'm unsure if its due to my surround or something else.

It doesn't really matter to me though. Once the PS4 version of FFXIV: ARR drops, I plan on robbing banks to buy it and a 50" 4k TV.
Y'all can keep a secret right? Smiley: lol

This is the first time this has happened to me and I have had this TV and a PS3 for 4 years now and it has never done this. Just got a new one because the 80g harddrive filled up WAY to fast. The HDMI cable was bought when I baught the new 500g PS3, thats why IDK if it was the TV or something with the new PS3. Oh well, I know what to do if it happens again.

...BTW, I'm an ex-cop with lots of friends still on the force... But I can keep your secret as long as you send some funds my way. Smiley: lol

During the whole installation process I received the bsd. I waited 20 minutes then held down the power button for it to shut off and then turned it back on.

I'm going to get a cooling pad for my ps3, just to pamper it along.
