No I didn't as I don't actually go over there. I don't think the echo really makes any difference in that fight though. If you cant dodge the dive bombs and you don't know how conflag/fireball works it doesn't really matter.
I guess what I'm hoping for is something ELSE to do. Since they're not upping the echo I'm going to go out on a limb and assume there will be a new dungeon or two an upgrade to the zodiac (I just bought book 3) and maybe some more hildy. Since they don't want more people past turn 5 that means they don't want more people progressing in any meaningful way. So rehash rehash rehash.
I'll hold out official judgment for now but i have a feeling I am gonna really wish I hadn't subbed 6 months.
I did PF T5 all weekend. I can guarantee you that around 60% of the groups I made would 1) not have had the DPS to down fast conflags or the snake and 2) have had the tanks and healers causing wipes due to the tank being one shotted. Most of those scenarios happened anyways which is really sad but we still succeeded in the end to having buffers like the echo.
With high enough HP, it really doesn't matter if you eat a divebomb as long as you're not knocked into a wall. With high enough damage increases for the other DPS, it really doesn't matter if one or two die during twisters. Healers also don't have to be on the ball like they used to for death sentence. Missing a stoneskin or adlo won't always end up in tank death just like tanks missing a CD for a DS also won't get them killed due to the buffered HP. If you think the fight is hard now, I can't wait to introduce you to echo'd turn 9.
