This weekend - (Thursday through Sunday events for me.)
Thursday: Hard Mode Primal marathon to get My alt (Eric Verus) his SCH book and the second Relics for two of our members as well. However, with 3 people switching to unfamiliar roles for familiar fights we decided to split the attempt between two runs so we had enough people comfortable and geared to push through Titan (Ifrit and Garuda was easy.)
Thanks to a small stockpile of Mythology, I was able to go straight to completing my Zenith book. Wewt!
Evening ended with a couple of kills on Garuda Extreme causing Aiming and Striking rings to drop for us.
Friday: Friday was our first run into Coil of Bahamut as a group. I'm rather proud of how we did with so many going in the first time. All of one wipe on both ADS and the Snake before we beat both soundly, and out of the ordeal, I managed to get Allegan Chest Of Maiming for Lin's Dragoon and one of our tanks got the Shield.
Saturday: Casual RP night! A casual get-together at the Forgotten springs where my third character Eric Verus, got himself aquainted with my Main's Free Company and his penchant for writing cheep romance novels for money on the side of adventuring was unfortunately outed. (Some how got into a lengthy discussion of what kinds of romance would sell better than others.)
Sunday: RP Storyline Night - Two weeks earlier, the Free Company gathered together to team up with the Immortal Flames to face off against Ifrit and Rescue would-be tempered from a fate worse than death. Many Immortal flames were lost in the battle and multiple members of the Free Company were injured seriously and had to spend time in recovery. Now that most member were now recovered enough to be functional, a remembrance ceremony was hosted for the members of the Immortals Flames that gave their lives to assure that Ifrit was banished yet again. A solemn reminder that such fights against the Primals, even in the presence of skilled adventures was not done without cost or sacrifice.
All and all a good weekend to be had. I'm reminded of how thankful I am to be a part of my little slice of the community.
