I appologize Louis. Perhaps it was just me then. When I think ifrit, I automatically think extreme mode. Perhaps I just sucked horribly at the ifrit fight until I learned how to do it properly during ifrit extreme hell. Bard was my main up until I helped fight ifrit extreme and then it unintentionally became dragoon. I can't really tell which one I like the most. I like the idea of being irreplaceable as a bard b/c every party needs a good bard, but I also like the idea of being a badass DD for ifrit and cutters cry. I ended up fully decking out my dragoon armor with triple melds and couldn't force myself to try and get gear for bard since my role at the time was mainly dragoon. lol I still went for bard relic first though. :) Man it sucked having to spirit bond that bow.
Oh no, you are right about Ifrit Extreme.
Bard was fairly good at Ifrit hard because you could stand safely, and solo kill a needle and then help the blms get the last one.
It was still the lowest at dmg, but I still found it respectable. I was always in the running with other DD's but still at the back.. Moogles were great because they were pretty squishy, but when it came to Nael Van Darnus or United We Stand, Bard definitely felt the drop off..
