ok, so this game is pretty good...
BUT....there are some things that are confusing me a bit.
The main thing though, is skills, styles, and whatever...
If I am understanding it all, skills are the weapons (if using, say, a Warrior), like axe, or left axe, or sword.
A style is the abilities opened up by putting points in a skill, like "splitter" and "cleave" for axe. Styles and Spells are the "same" thing, just different class.
You can level up a skill (axe, or sword, or shield), but you cannot level up a style. Once you have a style, nothing can change that style to make it stronger, right? If so, does the style get stronger as you level up (automatically)?
Now...lets say I am a Thane. I put points into Stormcalling, and according to this site (http://www.camelotherald.com/spells/line.php?c=38&line=106), at level 14, I can take Thor's Power. Or, does that mean, once Stormcalling is up to level 14, I can take Thor's Power?
I guess, what I am asking now is, what are the level requirements for Thor's Power (for example)? Is it my character level, or is it the "skill" level?
This leveling system seems much different than other leveling systems I have seen in other games. And I think I will really enjoy this system if it is the way I think it is....
I wonder, is there a guide somewhere that really discribes the leveling system in better detail? The "blurb" in the manual really didn't explain it much, at least not enough for me to grasp it.
One more thing on this....
I just read about respeccing a "skill line". Does that mean, I would be able to say, take back all the points I have put into axes, and move them over to Sword?
I guess I am asking, basically, as I level, I get specialization points. I can put these points into a skill line, which opens up styles/spells. I cannot put any points into the styles/spells (splitter) to make them stronger. I can only put points into the skill line (axes). I can later, respec axes, and take swords. Is this correct? I have noticed that, at least with Warriors and Thanes (the only two classes I have done anything with so far), there are several skill lines to choose from. So really, this offers PLENTY of opportunity to make my Warrior a bit different from the Warrior right next to me. Is this all correct thinking?
Thanks
Chris
