Newb In Game questionsFollow

Hi, I find that there are many unanswered questions while roaming around.

1) Do I automatically get new spells whenever I level? If yes, then a green box around the spell is the same coloring system as the monsters and items? Will I get orange and red outlined spells as well? What happens whenever I use 'non-grey' spells?

2) I noticed that some classes 'auto-level' skills. What is the deal with this? The shadowblade will autolevel stealth.

3) Although I am not using a shadowblade, I'd like to after I get my bonedancer farming. What is the deal with 'left-axe'. Let's say I specialize in Axe and then have a left axe. Will that give me double bonuses with my left hand or are weapon specializations only for right hand/double handed weapons. Why is there no 'left-sword' specialization?

4) Is the compass in Jordheim broken?

5) Whenever I created a newb character the 'assistant' in the city was nowhere to be found. This was supposed to be called from my new recruit journal which I found to be useless (i tried to use it to no avail).

6) is there some type of resource that I could go to for other types of interface questions such as the above?

Hi,

ad. 1) No you don't. Certain classes have abilities which are kind of spells and are enabled since the very beginning (e.g. Quickcast, Stealth). You can only get new spells by getting a new level then "training", which is talking to your class Master NPC (they're distributed fairly well around the game world) and specifying the spells branch (line) to level.

In every spell line there are spells which basically do the same but are more effective the higher level they are. They're graphics are similar but as you noticed their outline is green-yellow/gold-red. Non-gray spells? Sorry, I don't know what you mean. There's no gray spells.

ad. 2) Check it out here here

ad. 4) As far as I remember, when Mythic were designing the game they used some other piece of software for capital cities, and they switched North and South (by chance?) It's been this way since.

ad. 5) I haven't created a new 'toon for a while but I remember the game (or rather NPC's) instructing me quite well. You just have to walk around the town you're in and find NPC's wanting to talk to you (with rotating circle around their feet).

ad. 6) Try asking here :-) There are good boards here too, but I sometimes find them too broken up.
