Why is DAoC population dropping?Follow

I found a site that keeps track of the Camelot stats. Since Camelot is my favorite game, I hate to see what's been happening. As I look at the annual stats the server populations have been dropping steadily since January. And going down faster as time goes on. It doesn't make since to me because I am having more fun with the game than ever.

We need to promote our game. This sucks. ::::16::

Here is the annual graph and a link so that you guys can check out the more magnified times.

It always drops for awhile after a new game release. Give people some time to get tired of WoW and they will all head back.

DAOC's population is dropping because they've changed the game to just TD's, ID's and RVR. They may as well drop the rest of the DAOC world, no body ever plays anywhere else and you have 50's that don't even know where much is or how to get around in the world. I like RVR but want more in a game than just that. I'm down from 3 acc. to 1 and may cancel that when a few new games come out.

I remember a time when there were like 25-30 toons at PK bridge doing groups in Salisbury Plains and Darkness Falls...and as time went on and many became level 50's...and have done there Epic quests and now become King's champions...what is left except RVR...which can get discouraging if you stand around long enough waiting for a group or finally venture out alone to get wacked right away...or master levels...which can be time consuming and many times not done alone.

Crafting is about exciting as knitting a quilt (no offense to the quilt makers out there.)

You dont see a lot of lower level players like you used to...there are some in Thid...but I would say they are alts who miss the old Thid terrain which is the best one.

Me, I have no problem with game and am not going anywhere...but those may be some the reasons.
