maxx damage class?Follow

#1 Nov 01 2005 at 3:51 PM Rating: Decent
ok, I'm coming from FFXI and WoW in to DAoC. I played a ranger in FFXI, and Rogue in WoW. I'm addicted to being the job that has the potential to do the most damage in the game. Note, i said potential, i don't like easy mode. Was just wondering what class(es) in this game will result in maxximum damage output with propper play. If single target DPS and AOE makes a difference in this game as it does in WoW, i'd rather have the single target damage

and i'll take any other advice as well that a new player should know.

Would also like to point out, that i would like to play a class that is "desired" by party members. Don't really want to play a class that is overpopulated like the Rogues of WoW.

thanks

Heretics have a great spell that ramps up. Starts with decent damage and then multiplies that damage each 'tic'. For example, my first 'tic' hits for around 300. A few seconds later, I do 600. Then 900. Then 1200 and maybe a crit for another 900.

I've had 'tics' that did 1800 and a friend of mine did 2700 with a crit of 2000 (but he may be exaggerating).

They can buff themselves and melee too. They also have weak heals, rez and a special monster rez where you can rez a player who comes back as a monster that does pulsing PBAOE damage.

Heretics are always welcome in a group because of their diversity and I've seen groups of nothing but heretics.
