why should i join midgard?

Perspective is everything. People who played Midgard before adjustments were made are upset and think Midgard now stinks.

I've come back to the game after over a year of absence. I have 3 50's in Albion... I'm trying Midgard now and frankly I think the characters rock.

The Warrior class does really good damage (compared to Armsmen) and with First Aid it's even better. Hunter is a blast to play.. an archer with a pet. Shaman is also great... I like it better than Cleric.

I still love my necromancer but heck, I'm having a pretty good time in Midgard so far.

Midgard characters have more diversity than Albion. Albion characters seem to be more 'specialized'... I like Albion, but Midgard is proving to be a really good time too.

Give it a shot, you might find you like it a lot.

What realm is "winning" is different between server to server. On average, Mids tend to be third in the RP game (hate to break it to you).

Mids are HOOKED UP when it comes to crowd control. They will double stun and mez and root and just kick the **** out of you. It's highly aggravating (especially now that hibs don't have group purge).

They have the best melee tanks in the game. Mids make the best gank groups in the game when run correctly. However, if your party mates aren't at least above average, you're just going to get ruined over and over again. Mid groups take more skill than any other to do correctly (from my experiences).

The basic formula with mids is CC + CC + CC + CC (there's only so many purges..SOMETHING has to hit and stick to the point they can't just zap it off of them) + tank train = massive death. One of the funnest things I ever did was fight my mid tank train vs. a hib tank train (alb tank trains are just pathetic. Heh). You can't heal ~2000 damage in one swing from each tank on the train fast enough.
