Was happy as usual at reaching another level..from 35 to 36 and then found out I was capped out of battlegrounds so as I understand my choices are Emain, Odins Gate or through Sauvage or Snowdonia to the Frontiers......

However.....

I see that a level 36 is not asked to join into any groups and is basically shunned by all the 50's...This may be not be true, but this has been my experience so far.....

so.....

Do I give up on these type of things (I need realm points for MCL2) and just try and level some more...or does anyone have any suggestions???

What class are you? I found as a scout at 36-40 on Bedevere I can go out and solo in Emain (since the mids usually enjoy buzzin APK). If I'm not in group with guildies, I'll just camp on APK and shoot 1 or 2 arrows into any middie that's close enough. That way, if they die eventually, I'll get a few realm points. Not a lot, but it's better than nothing. Other than that.... get to 40.

Yes...I should have stated what I am......that was silly.

I am a Theurgist (Full Earth) with almost everything that I can get for that character and with a nice long casting distance.

After maxing out of BG3 the only possibilities left for RvR is the real one. Which means Alb/Hib/Mid frontiers.
Although you can already go there I would not advice it. Sure you can also camp apk and hope to inflict some damage on some enemies that are running by.
At a level of 36 it is very unlikely that you will get a group invite at all, except for guild groups.
Most of your spells will get resisted and on with the ones that hit your target it will not cause much damage.
Go and level your theurgist up to 50 and then you should not have any problems to get a group.

I don't recommend it though. You'll get killed in 1 hit :P
I agree with the others...If you have a guild, ask if you can join them at emain.

Try this:

Instead of announcing "lvl 36 LFG 4 Emain"
Say "PBT Thurg, LFG 4 Emain"

They'll see you're lower than they are as soon as they click on you, but that way you've made clear that you still have something to offer.

Other than that, all I can say is wait for New Frontiers to go live... The lvl 50 barrier will be a lot fuzzier then, and classes like yours that can offer utility long before 50 will find themselves being included far more often.

In the mean time, lvl up the best you can. If your guild won't include you in their xp groups, you might want to look into changing guilds.

Go to stonehenge, there is a lot of action for 35+. I've been leving every 3-4 hrs of action and will hit 40 soon. After that I'm off to the battlegrounds. Meet ya there.

New Frontiers now has a BG for 36-40 and 41-44. And the exp gained for RvR kills will be a lot more! Woohoo! It will be about the same exp gained for killing a PvE mob of that con. Be sure to check out the camelot herald for all the info!
