Hey, Im new to DAOC and been doing the "task" to learn the area. Im frequently told to go to Shannon Estuary that is SE of Connla ( i think the celt newbie city I guess) but I head SE and after 5-10mins of running I get jumped by some meanie that I forget to con. I looked at the maps on Camelot Herald and didnt see it on there. Could anyone give me some advice on how to get there? My in-game name is Grekolovan and i'll be on around 8pm est :-)

The best way to get from place to place without getting killed is to ride. Most cities have a stablemaster; just walk up to one and right-click on him to get a list of the cities you can buy a ticket to. If you don't have 5 silver to buy a ticket, you *may* be able to beg some coin from someone else.
You can see a map of all the horse routes on http://camelotherald.com .

By the way, you didn't say what server you're on. I'm on Percival almost every night; send Kaomh a /tell if you're on that server too and I'll gladly give you some coin to get you around while you're learning the ropes. I was a newbie not so long ago and I know it's daunting at first.

Hey thanks for the info, I was looking at quest and etc and it appears to be relatively easy for low lvls to make money so I'll do that. Im on Gahenia (co-op if I spelt it wrong). Yeah newbie lvls when being new to a game is daunting, I remember when I started EQ 3 years ago lol, now it sucks. Im only lvl 2 and on the 7-day free trial but I really like how it is and may go for another month to actually get something done and fully learn the game. So needless to say im not concreate in my server selection.

The coop server is Gaheris. Good choice to learn the game. You can usually work your way around mobs that are near the road. If the guards are giving you tasks too far away, move to another town. You might have better luck.

If you do buy the game (Gold Box Edition, please), you'll have Shrouded Isles and you can go task there. Tasks are much easier there - lots more named guards, etc.
