I have a level 38 skald my spec are : sword 25,axe 2,parry 3, hammer 1,battelsong 37 and i would like to no if i shut res spec at level 40 and train in hammer or axe insted or if you guys have any tips for me because i am noob in d.a.o.c..

Well I specced my 50 skald up to 46 sword and I wish that I could change to something else because she seems a little gimped.
in my opinion i would love to go with hammer. speaking of that... is there such thing as a single line respec stone for a lvl 50 toon??

Go Hammer all the way, I plan to respec my 50 Zerker from axe to hammer. You'll do better damage in rvr as the enemy is less resistant to crush than slash.

with hammer u can really kick some a$$ in rvr- vunerable opponents are hib and alb stealthers (except scouts), armsmen paladins and blademasters. with slashing damage( i.e. swords and axes) the only vunerables are the scale wearers of hibernia. i guess it evens out with the amount of crush resistant armors. personaly i think hammer is more valuable because it evens the playing field with the stealthers. (chain mail is vunerable to thrusting)

another thing to remember, is that with 29 in hammer you get a back style with snare.. so when someone is trying to run away you hit them with it and see them walking about ;)
and of course the hammer is the least expencive weapon line if you look at the end cost.. with NF my skald is close to having unlimited end 'cause of the tireless that we've gotten
