Some InfoFollow

Hi. I have a mercenary with spec 50slash / 50DW / 28 parry. I was allways wondering why the best spec is 50/50/rest parry for merc. Now where i am getting at.. why cant I give 44 to slash for saphire slash (since I dont use slash styles apart from backslash from times to times) and what remains give it to parry. Some said to me that the more points you have to the weaptype the more dmg you do, but noone knows the amount of gained dmg per lvl. So I would like to know if anyone knows the percent added to your dmg per lvl. I really like to parry more than have useless styles.
