Drogaroga's SpineFollow

Is there some history to Drogaroga's Spine? Just really curious since the first time I seen it. I asked a few higher lvl players 20-30 and got nothing of and answer. Just wondering if there is a quest, or NPC you can talk to about the history of it.

Somethin thaaat big musta died from old age, or if it was crafted... they are very good with reshaping bones. Same goes with the crags really.

That is where you have to go to hatch the wyvern egg for the dragoon quest, the eastern tip of it there is a ???. So basically it's there to hatch wyvern eggs I guess.

Hmm... I guess that works, I was just more interested in a history of the Big Huge Bones, and what they came from... Thanks though.

From what I can gather, the material that the spine is made of is the exact same material as the Crags and the large floating "thing" in the zone south of that. I have a great story made up in my head about how they were created by the ancients and that's why magic allows people to be teleported to different Crags, but that's just my story, I wish it were true.

I'm gonna theorize for a sec. *ahem*

Obviously, they seem to connect the crags together. At least, the three i've been to. And anyone who's been to Dekfutt's (sp?) tower will know that they seem to connect at that location. So my guess is that the answer to the spine is in the tower.

There's my idea. Discuss.

There's some speculation in the game as to the origins of the spine. The Selbina clay quest (An Explorer's Footsteps - Selbina Mayor's office) has you run all over Vanadiel looking for monuments from which to take impressions from. These monuments were created by an explorer from long ago and has a bit of history written on them that you can read. The monument in that zone also talks about a giant dragon and mentions how the crags are made of the same material thought it really doesn't explain much. Still, the quest is a cool undertaking if you are interested in the history of the lands in the game. It also gives you *a lot* of gil and the map to Crawlers Nest. WARNING: Link has spoilers regarding what's written on the monuments:
