Seven of us killed Spirit of Tawro last night Smiley: smile Was a "close" fight in that we were all scraping the bottom of the mana barrel by the end but no one died. In that fight, anyway, we had a couple deaths working our way in. Anyway, was good times and I'm sure we'll be hitting Tawro and Radir as often as we have the numbers on for it.

By a couple deaths your mean my Ranger. auto following the cleric while I moved the ungrouped enchanter where he needed to be, then dying trying to help the crazy cleric who managed to agro a mob no one else did..... not to mention the rest survived that little encounter.

Or the Enchanter who died due to having and a quote "you had a full mana bar til you died" never mind the rapidly dropping HP bar as I try to save the rest of you.

So heads up Trinmer either hates Rangers and Enchanters or the letter A. Possibly both, you've been warned people

A saying I used often, on my old chanter main:

Chanter = death

One of the joys (?) of the class is that if the content is on the edge of hard... and you are meaningfully contributing, you will often die. If marvel comics ever makes an EQ movie it will be the enchanter than makes the sacrifice play that saves the day.

Anyone can play enchanter, especially playing it in the background safe. I have great respect for those in the mix of danger types that stay enchanter, in particular those chanters that make you think "Thank Rallos (or whomever) you were here".

CaptainOmellette is the latter, if any of you reading this haven't had the pleasure of grouping with him in EQ. Smiley: nod

That's the most beautiful....and true...thing I have ever read! It's a pleasure to lay my life on the line for a fun and fine group of people such as the Mutants.

And to any that haven't experience that pleasure or the greatness that is me, shame on you!

Captain,
I am getting the feeling from skimming these posts that you are mis-reading my in game humor, my apololgies for your deaths and I will keep any auto-follows in my rear view mirror from now on.

hi guys, i have been away from eq for a long time but came back with a friend a couple of days ago on vox server. We decided to level as close to the old days as poss so no mercs, no defiant etc etc and we are having a blast.

I was looking foir something i can do when my friend isnt online and this guild sounds great, not sure what thje guild is short of currently in the way of classes but il roll something up just to get a feel for things and keep trying /who lunar until i get hold of a guildee. I am in the UK so my playtime probably a little different to most others though

Welcome back!

Anyone that wants to do our thing, is welcome to play whatever they want.

50+ we tend to need DPS of all things to make our groups more viable (or our adventures more risky). Yet having said that... if you love being a tank or a healer, feel free.

I'm impressed we've kept going this long. Great bunch of regulars, and the less regulars I would love to get a chance to play/group with (recognizing that my playtime doesn't match up well with the majority).

Looking for some input on this thread to see if we expand our scope slightly.

New players always welcome (silver membership is good enough to have fun with us).
Returnees are welcome too, and people that just want to login once in a while.

Play what you want. The upper end grouping has been in Umbral Plains and Akheva Ruins lately. My new shaman is better geared from the guild bank at level 5 than my druid was at level 40 (so it's not as brutal to do if the slow-play with terrible gear isn't totally your thing).

Hmm, I have the remains of my guild on CT. Most characters are in the 70s and above but I do have a CLR/ENC/WIZ trio at 65.

Let's see what remains of Rendition since the exodus to FV.

Is rerolling a requirement? Just curious because I could always roll a new character on one of my (now) perma-gold accounts. But the trio is already geared and would be neat to AA (in a group or with mercs). Might be fun to see how App mercs do. :) I could make a Bard and force multiply the existing DPS :D

Under 80, I have a Druid (71), Necro and Magician (72), Rogue (73), Enchanter and Ranger (75), and Monk (77).

I just noticed that my 65 trio haven't been logged in in almost four years (1/12/10). And everyone else hasn't been logged in since 2012.

EDIT: Ooooo, found a 40 warrior on the Necro's account and a 31 zerker on the 'chanter's account. Oh, chanter is 76 now. Logged her in and she immediately dinged 76.....in the guild lobby?!?

rerollers are welcome, but it isn't necessary to do so. --for some that is the fun though (even continuously rerolling and never getting past level 40s)

We're loosely sticking to "era gear" with our era being Luclin + Odus (Odus being LoY and eventually TBS too). Mainly we are avoiding being geared in defiant and PoK quest/vendor gear as it super trivializes the content we are doing (and we aren't trying to do it all super fast). We're generally avoiding older content that isn't Luclin/Odus so we have strange gear gaps. For example my 55 druid has almost no focus effects.

The highest characters are presently working the content in the 59-63 range (so we've havent tapped out LoY yet). I have a level 4 monk... and others are playing lower too. We have people (including me) willing to help with the low levels if that isn't an appealling grind, and once someone hits the 40s they are able to group with are more active population (that is slowly creeping up as more move past 60).

If what we are doing appeals to you (or anyone) just send someone a tell and we'll get you invited into the guild and figure it out.

had some time for EQ though got my monk/ranger combo both to 51 and earning some AAs still thinking of transferring them but its 2500 SC per and I just don't hink it would be worth it at this time although I really want to group up with you guys. I just have so much time invested on Bertoxx Smiley: frown

Well, if you are gold sub on both accounts with no SC it's a long time (5 months?) to accummulate enough to do those 2 moves.

When this concept hatched, I decided to roll a class I wasn't playing elsewhere (druid). I've moved a few (mostly with saved up SC) from Zek where I wasn't playing them too, but I totally understand any person not wanting to spend a real life $ on such.

My suggestion is reroll something you really love in a new race. OR, try something completely new. I've done a bit of both actually (and still have several classes I have never really played that I could get into for this).

I also learned that the Hole no longer needs a key... the one character I had taken there in the last 5 years had her key already. I do wonder if it was still keyed on progression though? (Hopefully was imo).

Are you guys still recruiting. I have just returned to EQ after 12 years out , stopped planning at Kunnark but would like to join an old school guild , ideally with european friendly raids times.

Oldschool raid you are better off looking up <Lost in Progression> on the Trakanon server. As they are currently quite active and doing that.

There's a few of the mutants playing there at the moment. Most of the mutants are on a break atm (including me really... I've logged in once in 3 weeks or something), so raiding is not on the schedule as it were.

Now if you were looking for something laid back and casual, and played later EST primetime... (to anyone this fits) Yenwangweh and some others are still checking in. The early EST time seems quite dead atm (for the mutants).

The mighty Denth is correct! I am playing very often in PST time, usually after 7ish...and Saturdays should see me playing. I play between servers right now ( enjoying my FV crew ) but I do check in on the mutants and have some wider range of leveled characters and would be happy to group up with you ( or anyone... )

Wherever you choose to play, welcome back and also welcome to Alla's and its great number of knowledgeable players...

My playtime has suffered terribly with the holidays and the advent of winter. I have been trying to get on a minimum of two-three times a week recently. So it will get better...look for Trinmer for an invite or a group.
