I find I have held on to way too many things that I probably will never use again. I have sold or traded all I felt I could. And find I feel a little "paranoid" at times deciding to destroy some things. When do you decide to spring clean?

I don't remember the last time I've cleaned out my bank (or my bags). Lots of things that are in my bank are there because of nostalgia reasons (it either reminds me of old friends, or some awesome times I've spent in Norrath). I probably should clean out the bags in my inventory.. they're so full of quest items that I've forgotten which items go to whom.

Or do you mean spring cleaning in real life? :P

When I no longer have room in the bank. Then its more of a time to do trade skills, than a delete of items.

I sell off or destroy anything I KNOW isn't worth saving. If I'm not sure I buy more and bigger bags OR I move items to alts, some newly made just to hold such stuff. Of course on Firionia Vie that's much easier since even most quest items, old raid gear and other usually "no drop" items can be transferred.

This is half the reason I MOVED to FV server! I'm a packrat IRL and, of course, in game. I'm always worried that some quest item in the bank that I've long since forgotten about might come in handy some day when I finally decide to finish that quest and I can't stomach the idea of having destroyed something which could be useful ten years from now! ;)

Oh, I move stuff to my house too. My EQ house should look like those "rat's dens" you see on the news when someone is discovered dead in their home crushed when a 10-foot stack of old newspapers fell on them. Sure wish you could add extra rooms to your EQ house!

I'm waiting for the day when bags WITH STUFF IN THEM can be inserted into other bags!

The only thing my bank are pieces that can be used for epic quest. Not looking like I will ever be bothered to complete the quest but no sense in destroying items that still took time to gather.

This is the case with me. I keep TONS and TONS of tradeskill junk in the bank. Takes me forever just to get use up everything. :P

That's what trade-skill bags are for! I just wish they were 80-slot...

Buy a 3 room house and put a 500 space crate in it....make sure the house has a 200 space any item tag on it..... but with the new spaces soe gave, gives you 1k more space to store "Stuff" in.
It hurts so much to "Delete" items,so also check about selling back to Tribute ... at least you get something out of the item.

Sounded like a good idea until I tried to implement it. First, I couldn't open the crate to put anything in. Second, the crate adds to my daily charges. Thirdly, the things that take up space in the bank are not placeable in the house or crate. It is like my old robes and weapons that are no trade that I hate letting go of. Most of these are not placeable. I really thought having a house would mean storage space but it helps little that I can see yet.

I bought a crate for my house once and I wasn't too impressed, altho it was a while ago and not sure why. It didn't seem to hold as much "advertised" and seemed to have other complicating restrictions. All the house "mechanics" aren't the easiest commands in the game, kinda clunky too. Too bad they just couldn't adapt the regular bank/bag mechanics, would make gaming life so much easier.
