SoE's Idea and or misuse of the phrase Daily Offer?Follow

Well for once I have no idea what you're talking about. What and where is the daily offer? All I see on the SC market are fantastically expensive backpacks and red and green tiles and walls (which look pretty cool to be honest).

Ah.. I hadn't looked at the SOE forums recently. You'd think if they were having a huge 12 day holiday promotion they would make it a little more obvious?!? So yeah, you're right again, poor marketing and poor implementation.

On the other hand, that's great that the player studio stuff is in!

Itt is SoE's effort to save energy. They figure that they can lower their ceilings and in that way lower the cost of heating at least in the marketing dept. This is because everyone is walking around with their heads up their "You know what".

It is not like they have an inventory...lol.... if something doesn't sell get rid of it... Virtual market products should only be placed what sells.... try something if it does't sell, oh well?
Trial and error is fine....my problem is how they lack marketing or misleading players..... Daily Special means just that ...something special at a reduced price, new or old was removed and now available....like the big bags.... they just got off a 2 for 1 on bags.... do the same, or knock $5 (sc) off... at least it is in RED....like all my ex wives... if it is marked "Sale" even if it is the same price all the time.... they followed it like zombies to flesh..... sale, Sale, SALE......

I was just expecting more from SoE....they just got through with a successful (but bugged) expansion. They are doing pretty well for a 13 year old game.....had a great give-away last christmas. You would think they would do something different or at least the same. Yes they have the holiday hats but you have to buy the "Forged Armor"...discount that... tie things together...their Dev's are creative is it to much to ask for marketing to add some excitement for this season...specially when there is the potential to get players that are off from School for the holidays. The fact thtat the economy is bad and people are hurting who play they game ....give them something for nothing... and put a smile on their face.... they have the pixels. Maybe they are over stocked on them and need to move them off their virtual shelf....lol
Anyway Merry Christmas and to SoE's marketing team think outside the box...or inside or just Think.

You know, I was just talking about last year's Christmas thing they had in EQ1 (with a guildmate). If you collected all 12 items (which were ALL free by the way), you got a spiffy merc as a final reward. Was hoping they did something like that this year. :(

Looks like SoE got the message.... milk and cookies are discounted plus a lot of other items too. They also brought back the old items from last year but you have to pay SC for them. And some other old items that the removed a while back.
Looks like they shot their wad ....wonder what will be for tomorrow?

Funny thing I just remembered when I heard about the SC market, I thought it was going to be every item from EQ for sale... from Blades of War to Warrior 2.0 epics.. lol

but I totally bought the cookies and milk lol

They should let players come up with the special offers, just like the player-made items coming up for sale. Let the players do EVERYTHING! Then Sony can just sit back and let the buck rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrollllllllllllllllllll in!
