NO EQ for me this weekend, did some traveling across the state of Colorado for a funeral service.

I enjoyed getting together with all the family that showed up, I am pretty sure that a funeral is what passes for family reunions in a lot of families these days.

Rainy weather here in Loveland today, and perfect weather for the playing EQ ;-)

I keep thinking about goals for the game, I need to come up with a couple progression goals for this year otherwise as the playtime diminishes (good weather increases, time to change the oil on the cycle) I will just be doing random, useless mob killing.

I know I need to finish some progression...just need to do some research on alla and get down to it.

Has anyone else set goals for this year?

How did play go for you guys/gals this weekend?

I love that I got beat to the update post on a Monday (Nice work Always...).

Finalized the offer on my house purchase. Both closing dates are the 30th of this month so head-spinning busy time for me.

I think I will end up with decent internet at the new place so my EQ days can continue...

In game I played a bit Friday and Saturday on my FV necro. Dinged 77 and secured it. Grabbed some rank IIs for 76 & 77 in baz. I had no armor upgrades in my mostly-full bank. I'll hit up PoK library to infill my spells next time I play. My favourite camp in Icefall has started to go DB so it's time to move on again (most of 7 levels and 800ish AA is pretty good mileage from a zone I would say... good thing I did that over a long period of time though). Other than crocs in Loping Plains (iirc --only been there once) I haven't yet figured out where I like to kite for the 77-79 level range.

My necro still doesn't have the OoW robe clicky, so that's getting to be the biggest outstanding thing to do. If my brother ever gets back into the game (he's off internet atm) we should probably get rolling on the 1.5 epics.

Weddings and funerals Always, the older we get its funerals until our kids and grandkids start marrying.

I was tired from working on the weekends but did get 7 aa on Jonwin, 6 aa on fenogre bl, was in a nice group in sunderock. Sunday I upgraded jonwin armor. Played the ranger a bit as well, have switched him to leveling now that the younger folks are working on aa.

Made a toon on FV server as well, seems Elne's youngest started a necro there back in 2004, it was never wiped off and she is level 4. Started a human paladin Jonwin as well, but will probably delete him and make a drakkin ranger.
Still debating if I want to move one of my older toons to FV.

The 2004 necro is cool as it predates FV allowing more than 1 character to my knowledge. I'd be tempted to level it... unfortunately my old box account has a gnome warrior of similar vintage... I can't get excited about playing a warrior atm (nor ever before) or I'd be levelling up the "veteran" myself.

As far as moving a character... obviously it costs nothing but it can't be undone either. My brother talked me into moving my core characters so I'm all-in as it were, but given a do-over I probably would have just moved one of my doubles (I have enchanters on several servers for example) to hedge my bet.

Costs nothing to move to FV?

I never paid attention to that, I will look into the pros and cons of doing that to a toon.

Pros: XP bonus, Practically 0 no drop gear, Great community

Cons: One way ticket, Only one raid guild of note

Others can expand on it but the choice is up to you. Kind of hard to beat the XP bonus and ability to buy gear and drops instead of grinding for them.

Over the weekend, I burned a couple lessons in the Hole as usual. Then I went to the Plane of Fire for the first time. Was happy to see I could solo the entrance trash no problem while waiting for a group.

Used a shroud for the first time. Was interesting being level 5 again and looking like a hulking demon. Shrouding works differently than I expected; glad to see you can still use a merc while shrouded.

And then I raided. I haven't raided in years. Friday was an LDoN raid. Saturday was Fabled Zlandicar. Wednesday will be Plane of Time. Really excited about that one.

On a more sour note, there was a Vox server event in East Karana--killing giant scarecrows. Was a lot of fun, but some jerk ninja looted the nicest gear from it. The rest of us stayed an extra hour to /random for a bunch of okay-ish gear. You'd think people wouldn't be able to get away with ninja looting during server events with the GMs standing right there. But they did.
