I played for the first time in a few weeks on Friday:

-logged in the FV necro and decided to switch to regular xp. 1 kill later, level 76 dinged after months of holding @ 75. If my new house has decent internet (moving is almost finalized for the end of May) I'm going to get to 77ish and do some more AA.

-Logged in the Vox Druid and killed the restless souls again. I've let myself get bogged down in a quest at that camp... random number generation is not cooperating.

-Logged in my Vulak Shaman and killed 3 kobolds in Gloomingdeep, realized I wasn't into it.

-Logged into my Zek ranger. Still no free transfer off. Logged off.

I didn't get back into EQ the rest of the weekend, but that is just a byproduct of the the real-estate stuff consuming my life atm.

Read on Alla forums that Jonwin is enjoying his ranger again (yay). Also noted how much the alla population that posts has shifted to FV which is interesting.

What did the rest you get up to?

Logged onto my Froglok Sk ( 55 ) and went to Ssraeshza Temple to work on AA's. Decided I wanted to box him with a Froglok wizard, so spent the rest of the time leveling him.
Yther had said that sub 50 the tank merc was great for leveling, and boy was he right. I went to the ramp in Overthere and just ground up mobs. Stayed there until like 38, then went to the fort in the Burning woods, and am currently there ( 43 ). The tank keeps aggro well, and the wiz is fun. Can't wait till he gets to 50 and I can begin to group him with the Sk.

Not alot of time on due to coaching duties, but still loving FV and EQ again....Smiley: sly

My crew is at level 88 and we have settled in to Kaesora Library to gather AA's, and the occasional armor upgrade.
I don't see anyone I know anymore in the game, I have chatted with Jonwin a couple of times in the past couple weeks and I agree he sounds like he is having some fun, lol.
Good hunting everyone ;-)

Got the beastlord to 80 finally, polished up his AA count to a healthy 1222. Started a ranger, played him to 45ish. Really enjoying being back in EQ.

Met Bijou in game today; it was extremely awkward because I was mostly afk and we both had some pretty hefty internet failures, but he managed to cast Temp on me before having his morale demolished by a bunch of PLers in his destination zone.

No EQ this week, other than early in the week logging on to check some of the PoK spell merchants. Need to finish that up to get the old spells off their lists.

I really want to get on at least a basic schedule so I can have a regular EQ play time. Last month or so, about 3-4 days or more of the week, I've had appointments. Some days multiple appointments. Most of them 1.5hrs away, so pretty much interrupting any possible play time.

I also really wanted to try out the open Tera beta last weekend, but didn't get the game downloaded before it was over. Although I wasn't sure if I'd be into the involved combat or not at the moment. I've seemed to grown accustomed to the relaxed EQ pace. I did like the EQ2 (based on SWG) system with Heroic Opportunities, but when I was playing no one ever used them, other than soloing. I never found a good group to work on the good ones, other than a few guildies.

I'm glad your liking the tank merc yen. OT sounds like fun with one. I haven't been to OT for xp for a few years. Last time was a low level Necro I loaded up on DSes to sort of self-PL, as the only purpose I can remember was to test out Voice Graft spell. I used to use OT alot for practicing throwing. I'd box a Rng or Dru to 15-min snare, then chain fear animals so the low level toon could skill up throwing quickly.

Necro- Started working on his epic, though he's still a long ways from finishing it (trying to get the Mansi Herb right now which isnt too difficult at 60...the camping sucks as always). Also started working on the Velious armor (for his clicky corpse sumonn robe), those Kael giants seem to hate dropping silk items. I've noticed Snailish posts under almost every quest I've been reading... its like stalking.

Cleric- let him get to 59, he also got VoA on Saturday.

Been checking the bazaar daily as well for any cheap upgrades, or clickies for both classes that I want to hoard.

Actually, after I inquired about their estimated time in AC, they said they'd leave as they didn't want to be "that guy" hogging a zone for PLing when someone wanted to be there. They left and I raked in a bunch of aa's before I was too drunk to play logged off because I was totally tired.

You'd know that if you read all your tells, Mr. AFK.Smiley: bah

Chuckling...

When I came back to play the Drakkin necro I decided to be more involved with updating quests (at least with a post verifying old stuff) whenever I thought of it because so many of them were years since a post had been made. Since I have mostly stuck to the necro in those 4ish years since (even playing one on progression), and spent a lot of time doing older-world stuff, I suppose I may have left a bit of a trail in that specific kind of area on alla.

Well I for one am glad of your verifying things, and the times you've posted links have helped me immensely as well. Also... UPDATE: Got my Mansi Herb today finally!! Finished the rest of the solo parts ..and now just for the fun 3 items ... yes those 3 items. /sigh

Happy May day.
Over the weekend I was able to spend some time alternating toons in sunderock spring. Grouped Paladin and Beastlord, had Jonwin hit 70 earlier last week. Switched to Elnes druid Primrose(x) who is at 67. She can solo the snakes there using root rot, and she teams well with the 62 druid I have on my account. Used the ranger as a grouper for pulling the named snake and to work on the yellow to druid drakes and basilisks. Have had some good fun grouping with folks as well.
Going to work on AA's for Jonwin, thinking about running to TOFS for Tsserinas Whip. I can go strait to top with the other paladin Winjon.
Didn't play much on Sat or Sunday, due to knee pain, but all told spent about 4 hours in game with the above groups.
Jonwin maybe the one I stick with on the second account, and yes the ranger due to versatility, snare and damage output is more enjoyable at this time then either cleric or shaman. IF I could find a steady group I would probably do more with the cleric. (Always is great to group with, but he and I are different time zones. Now he is also a bit higher.) Was thinking of taking on toon to FV if there are steady players there. So FV folks speak up about times in game.

Last weekend I ding'd 65 for the first time ever.
The highest I'd ever made it on a toon before this was 61.
When I last left the game 65 was the level cap, so it was a pretty big deal to me.
I started playing during Scars of Velious and ended around GoD.
This time, I'm not finding myself bored. I'm not running off to play alts. I'm focusing on one character this time. Aug hunting, completing important quests (such as Brick of Knowledge) and collecting items for my epics (I've never gotten an epic before on any toon, not even 1.0).
The most AA's I'd ever gotten to was 15. This time around I'm at ~190 AA's and aiming for 400-500 before moving on to 71.
It's pretty amazing being able to freely visit and molo in T3/T4 PoP zones or even SEE them, since I only ever got 1 PoP progression flag back in the day (Plane of Innovation - Xanamech Nezmirthafen).
I'm also starting to see the early signs that I can SK swarm, at least, in The Hole. That's what I've been up to lately; taking on 7 or 8 lb/db mobs at a time to practice for the real deal.
All of this comes with a little guilt since the game is much easier than it used to be. I guess my casual butt needed this kind of boost to really dig into this game.

Logged in to the 65 Cleric on Luclin. Got a few more aas to reach 70 so far. A friend and I have decided to play the 65 game, so over the fabled month we twinked a few characters. The warrior we have is 14.5k hp unbuffed and my cleric has almost 11k mana unbuffed. We only have silver accounts so this is offering us the most fun in game. It is so good to be playing again :)
