So, a week on FV and....Follow

i had sent ya a couple of tell but ya was afk...no bigge ill catch up with ya

I made the jump to fv. I kept hearing of the xp and equipment rules, and finally decided to go. So far I am enjoying the differences, the language rules and no ooc is a real change.

The only reason i would play on FV is if I could get myself a BFG........ other than that.. I like my Xegony

Actually, I started a toon on FV last week after the thread was resurfaced.

I'm still in the tutorial, but, a couple of observations -- both of which I greatly appreciated

It is still a VIBRANT server -- the general chat channel for the two hours I was observing was rockin'.

On the other two servers I have toons, the general chat was abuzz with nothing but talk about the upcoming changes and people being pissy for the most part.

FV chat channel for a solid two hours there wasn't a single mention of it. It was refreshing.

The Bazaar was not as inflated as I was exepecting it to be -- but then I'm guessing the economy is a little different when things like Acrylia Fists can be purchased alongside defiant H2H weaps.

It was a little interesting in the chat window when someone would hail an NPC and it was in their native tongue took the better part of an hour getting used to "Toon1 says 'wnop tihsgni'"

I liked it. I liked it a lot.

I've been feeling somewhat better this week, so started a new char on FV. A Troll Beastlord named Vuggy. Have met some nice people so far. Heve learned Elvish and am on my way. The only daunting thing so far is the Bazaar prices. Wow!

The prices can sometimes seem higher because (1) plat is kinda inflated on FV, and more importantly, (2) remember everything is for sale so very high-end stuff, which would be no-drop and hence not for sale on other servers, is available "for a price" on FV's Bazaar. I've seen items with asking prices as high as 10million pp and it's not at all unusual to see players offering gear in chat for anywhere from 2 million to 4 million pp apiece.

BUT... that's the crazy high-end stuff. Because the market is loaded with top-notch gear the more middling stuff, including the stuff that can be had on other servers, is not price all that high, IMO. But everything's relative. I played on my old server, Bertox (Saryrn) recently, on my first ever toon which still resides there. Of course, I checked the Bazaar and I was surprised to see how expensive tradeable warrior weapons like Blade of Carnage and Swiftblade of Zek were, as compared to on FV. The obvious reason is these items, tradeable, useable at level 1 and with topnotch stats, have far less competition on Saryrn than the same items on FV.

Everything, of course, is relative.
