I forget the way grouping affects XP. I recall grouping with one other is 20% less but is there more of a penalty the larger the group or is it the same up until a full group with the bonus?

I don't remember all the specifics, but basically, you get a small bonus for each real (non-merc) player in the group, which was the most recent change to group experience. The full group bonus is still in effect, which basically gives the same exp division per person as a 5 person group, but you get the help of the 6th person for free.

They've changed the exact mechanism from what it used to be, especially on AA experience, but is similar, and basically worked as total exp * any modifiers * level of specific player / sum of player levels = specific player experience. So a group of two 10 levels, would result in basically ttl * 10 / 20 = ttl / 2 for each player, but a group of an 8 level and 12 level would result in ttl * 8 / 20 or ttl * 40% for the 8th level and ttl * 60% for the 12th level, but with the 12th level requiring more than 2x the amount of exp to level, so that even though the 8th level was getting less actual xp points, they would be getting a greater percent of level experience.

Yther Ore.
